Business Financial Analyst

Your role and responsibilities

ABB is seeking a Financial Analyst for the Raleigh Research Center, located on the North Carolina State University campus in Raleigh, North Carolina. The Financial Analyst will report directly to the Research Controller and will be a business partner to the relevant business leaders. Qualified candidates should possess strong financial, accounting and analytical skills, as well as people, communication and organizational skills.The work model for the role is hybrid out of the Raleigh Research Center (#LI-Hybrid).You will be mainly accountable for:- Analysis of both P&L and Balance Sheet Accounts, with emphasis on variance to budget and detecting abnormalities in general ledger activity.- Preparing financial modeling for various hypotheses and the overall impact to the business unit.- Supporting the preparation of financial reporting, business planning, budgeting, and forecasting for the relevant organization.- Capital asset management, including requisitioning, tracking, capitalizing assets in a timely fashion and assisting with periodic physical inventories.Our team dynamicsYou will join a {insert adjectives – e.g. dynamic, talented, high performing} team, where you will be able to thrive.

Qualifications for the role

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related discipline and a minimum of 2 years of accounting/finance experience.SAP Experience with emphasis on FICO and PS modules (preferred)Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including v-lookups, pivot tables and macros.U.S. Federal Government Contract Accounting experience is a plus.Demonstrated history of professional and ethical standards.Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
