Your role and responsibilities

ABB Installation Products (ELIP) provide customers with engineered installation and safety solutions, which are easier to design, install and maintain - providing sustainable and superior performance for continuous operation throughout their life span.As a Business Financial Analyst, you will provide financial analysis expertise to the ABB Electrification Canada ULC in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Qc. You will join the planning and forecasting team in performing analysis and financial support.This position is located in Saint- Jean-sur-Richelieu and you will report to the Controller, Financial Planning & Reporting, LBU.•\tWorking with other finance professionals at the division head office to understand and analyze the drivers of financial performance, while identifying trends relevant to the business. •\tSupporting the preparation of relevant budgeting and forecasting documents and presentations by providing summary data, reports, findings, analyses, and recommendations.•\tOptimizing performance to increase productivity by developing automated solutions, eliminating duplication and coordinating information requirements.•\tPrepare various business analysis and reports on an Ad-Hoc, Monthly, quarterly and annual basis.•\tSupport controller in providing ad hoc financial information upon request•\tProvide support to various functions in the business related to financial results and KPIs.•\tConsolidation analysis where required.•\tProvide support for accounting and reporting team during month end /forecast and budgeting process, when application.•\tInvolvement in business process improvement on defined/identify action plan.•\tLiving ABB’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues, and the business.

Qualifications for the role

A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business with CPA certification.2-3 years at least with advance technical experience in an Financial Analyst role.Excellent organizational skills, ability to multitask and demonstrate flexibility with sound decision making.Experience with computerized accounting systems and financial reporting software, including MS Office with advanced Excel knowledge, SAP/TM1 (mgt reporting tool) or equivalent ERPs.Outstanding attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to multitask.Strong financial, accounting analytical skills and good judgement. Good sense of initiative with pro-active skills.High ability to adapt to change and ad-hoc request with ability to work in a multi-task environment with strength in working with tight schedule.Writing and oral communication skills: Bilingual: French and English (Good understanding and speaking skills no need to be perfectly bilingual). French is required. English is also required to communicate with customers outside Quebec on a regular basis.
