Key responsibilities:
We are looking for a Business Improvement Specialist who wants to work as part of the OME Business Improvement Team. You should be interested in reviewing current practices, analysing and driving change to ensure optimum performance of Operations. Additionally the role will also evaluate, plan and create new processes to ensure optimum business operation.
In role you will be responsible for:
Assessing and challenging current business processes and providing support on implementing recommended best practices.
Using data and analytics to highlight and prioritise opportunities for improvement
Managing priorities between business stakeholders’ requests by assessing impact overall.
Leading the development and execution of new processes
Identify new initiatives/recommendations to drive continuous improvement.
Executing, implementing and developing procedures to ensure sustainability of improvements implemented
Coordinating with stakeholders on process implementation evolution, deployment and improvement potentials.
Building relationships with business stakeholder for collaboration on cross functional processes
Championing best practice and standard ways of working
About you:
You will have a previous experience leading Business Improvement initiatives for projects specifically within the Engineering and/or Manufacturing sector
It is preferred that you are Lean Sigma Black Belt or equivalent qualified, and have evidence of DMAIC / PDCA implementation and the application of various Lean/Sigma tools e.g. Value Stream Mapping, Process Mapping, Standardised work etc.
You should be self-motivated and able to manage your workload and meet your objectives whilst working autonomously.
You will have excellent communication skills and be able to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
An analytical mind-set and the ability to create stories with data will be key to your success in this role.
