As a Business Information Architect, you will manage our corporate intranet (and related data) which we are currently re-branding as our internal Knowledge Management Platform. The role can report to any of our 20 US offices. We are responding to the current working situation as a hybrid company anticipating a portion of our workforce will remain remote after the pandemic work from home orders lift. Communication with our C-Suite in our Houston office will be frequent. This role will require you to put yourself in the position of the end user – your fellow Walter P Moore teammates, to develop solutions on how best to organize, present, and archive data for optimal efficiency and ease of use. You will largely be responsible for working in conjunction with the Intranet Governance Committee and the IT group to make our intranet the “go to” resource for information and collaboration.
This individual will be responsible for:
Working with necessary stakeholders to define and communicate knowledge management priorities and initiatives. Utilizing and being versed in SharePoint Online platform architecture, related technologies and their interdependencies. Guiding curators across groups/offices to consistently and effectively update Intranet source data and findability of our support content – sharing best practices with internal team members and internal clients. Collaborate with key stakeholders which could include project managers, engineers, developers, and visual designers to improve processes around publishing and maintaining reactive support content. Developing and implementing change management techniques related to our Intranet Strategic Roadmap to successfully embed change. Continually improving data and functionality needed for site users to have a positive, valuable self-service experience; keeping up-to-date with emerging technologies; and tracking/assessing key analytics. Engaging with staff to determine knowledge and technology needs/requirements and providing solutions. Coordinating with the Corporate Learning Manager to ensure training of front-end users on new technologies. Working independently as a customer service contact for employees firmwide related to SharePoint/the Intranet. May provide technical direction and oversight to SharePoint implementation teams. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in related field required. Minimum of 5 years of experience, in information or data architecture; or if Advanced degree, 2 years’ experience in information or data architecture. Strong proficiency with Microsoft SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 required. Experience writing basic HTML code. General experience with collaboration technology (i.e. Microsoft Teams) a plus. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Must be able to effectively communicate with individuals at all levels of the firm to foster commitment to key collaborative programs. Knowledge of information governance practices and standards. Demonstrated understanding of data collaboration solutions, design, build and management. Superior business processes and IT industry trends and developments knowledge. Ability to implement high-level systems strategies and demonstrative technical proficiency within area of expertise. Adept at establishing priorities, meeting deadlines, and organizing work effectively. Ability to troubleshoot, debug and prioritize technical issues. Professional, internal customer-focus demeanor is a must.
