Business Integration Specialist

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Business Integration Specialist is responsible for managing and coordinating the end-to-end onboarding process for new clients in the logistics and supply chain domain. This role ensures a seamless integration of client operations into the company's logistics systems and processes while delivering exceptional client experience. The individual will work closely with internal teams, clients, and external partners to drive project success, resolve issues, and maintain operational excellence.

RESPONSIBILITES:

Manage the onboarding process for standalone and networked Logistics Shipping Carriers, making sure they are smoothly connected to our logistics systems and programs. Check if carriers are technically ready for EDI integration and ensure their systems work well with ours. Design and manage detailed onboarding plans, including timelines, key milestones, and roles/responsibilities. Provide guidance and best practices to Professional Service teams involved in onboarding, ensuring access to necessary resources and knowledge. Stakeholder Communication & Engagement: Develop and implement communication strategies, share regular project updates, and engage stakeholders to ensure alignment and active participation. Project Tracking & Reporting: Monitor and report on project progress, maintaining transparency and timely updates for internal teams and customers. Issue Resolution & Escalation: Address challenges such as pricing concerns or carrier resistance during the onboarding process and escalate to leadership when necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or client onboarding.

Proven experience managing complex projects involving multiple stakeholders.

Knowledge of logistics platforms, such as TMS or WMS.

Familiarity with EDI, API, and other system integration protocols.

Strong project management and organizational skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to manage client relationships.

Problem-solving mindset with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

General office environment and responsibilities requiring: Extensive use of the computer which involves viewing a monitor and keyboarding for most of the workday Placing and receiving phone calls Occasionally moving and lifting objects up to 20 pounds May require 5% travel or more if needed
