The Business Intelligence Group at Forcepoint is the analytical engine enabling data driven strategy and the foundation for measuring performance across the organization. The Business Intelligence Analyst supports this charter in developing and maintaining the tools needed to provide actionable insights into the performance of the company.
A successful candidate should possess a passion for data, an innate curiosity, excellent problem-solving skills, and strong knowledge of Tableau and SQL. You will be working in a highly collaborative team of data visualization and insights developers, data engineers and data management analysts to provide Forcepoint with quality unbiased data. In addition, you should have excellent communication skills and work well with others across many departments and groups. You should be curious, a driven self-learner, comfortable in ambiguous situations & changing requirements, business-savvy, a technically capable person who enjoys figuring out complex business problems that you turn into scalable analytics models.
Responsibilities include:
Developing and Managing business intelligence solutionsTranslate ambiguous business requirements into measurable insights with an emphasis on accuracy.Conduct analysis to construct explanations and recommendations for enhancements through manipulation of large data setsEnvision & design dashboards to enable leadership to make data driven decisionsCompiles business intelligence or trends to support actionable recommendationsLead projects and initiatives focused on streamlining and improving the operations of the organization for efficiency and profitabilityprovides the foundation which will keep Forcepoint informed and up to date on important benchmarks.Leverage technical & statistical knowledge to both merge and interpret multiple data sets, paying particular attention to trends and patterns that could be valuable for diagnostic and predictive analytics effortsNurture strong working relationships across departments and project stakeholders based on trust and mutual respectTrain team members on existing dashboards and processes and mentor them as needed.Desired Skills & Experience:
BS degree math, statistics, computer science, or other related discipline5+ years’ experience in business analytics (data science is preferred)5+ years’ experience in Tableau, Data Optimization, and data modelingExperience with Salesforce.com, Hubspot, Clari, Outreach or other Sales/Marketing/CRM tools and various data sourcesEnergetic and analytical with a positive approach to problem solvingAbility to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentAbility to handle database and understand technology-driven business intelligence toolsTableau Zen Master and/or Analytics tools certifications is preferredProven experience with statistical tools (R, Python) and methods to incorporate statistical results into analysis and predictive modelsDon’t meet every single qualification?
