If you’re a Business Intelligence Analyst, we have an exciting opportunity for you. Analyzes quality business processes, functions, and results to determine the most effective reporting solutions using Power BI. This can involve working with management and key users to recognize and identify business opportunities. Solutions may require changes to existing systems, creation, updates and modifications to existing reports. May work with a team of developers, analysts and users, including multiple locations, for development of quality department business systems. Analyst must maintain a total Woodward perspective when selecting a solution and collaborate and drive to common business processes across the organization.
What You Will Be Doing
Primary responsibility is analyzing business processes opportunities, and designing business systemsActs as a liaison between systems software development staff, management and system end users to provide effective solutionsProvide follow up and closure to projects as well as on-going supportWork with leaders to ensure project timelines fit within daily work assignmentsFormulates test plans, coordinates and facilitates software testing on larger projectsAdhere to Woodward IT Development processes and proceduresSupport Power User Network by working with Process Owners to obtain direction and priorities, facilitating power user network meetings by location, coordinating training, resolving integration issues, software testing, and maintaining or preparing documentationProvides technical leadership by staying abreast of new technologies and recommending methods of applying them to business opportunitiesAct as a change agent within the business for adoption of process and/or IT system changesProvide technical support including working with ITReview system specifications for completeness and accuracy to ensure adequate information and justification are providedFacilitate and coordinate software testing on system or report changesWhat We Are Looking For
US – Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) BS or BA preferred5+ years Functional module experience. Functional module would be area like Sales, Finance, Purchasing, etc. required5+ years Business Objects experience requiredExperience with detailing program specifications and testing programs requiredExperience with giving direction to IT individuals and users requiredExperience implementing process and system changes where existing processes are in place requiredExpert understanding of business systems and manufacturing environmentsUnderstanding of ERP systems, such as SAP ECC, strongly preferredExpert understanding of system life cycle methodologiesDemonstrates sound, logical thought processes and problem solving skills when producing system specifications.Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks for self and team membersCommunicates and interacts well with all levels of the organization, in order to understand user requirements while providing advice, recommendations and instructionsProvides excellent customer serviceAble to lead a teamDemonstrated ability to manage large projects with cross-functional teams,Extensive understanding of DW principlesExtensive understanding of SAP Data Warehouse reporting capabilities (BOBJ, LiveOffice, Xcelsius)Extensive understanding of DW reporting capabilities (BOBJ, LiveOffice, Xcelsius)Extensive understanding of Universes and underlying data structuresETL experienceStrong presentation skills, including the ability to provide user training in a classroom environmentAbility to create functional training materials for use by end usersApplication window is anticipated to close 30 days from original posting date.
