About You and The Role  

We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled business intelligence analyst to build out our data function within the Sales and Partnerships team. As the lead analyst focusing on the Zipline Africa business, you’ll play a pivotal role connecting Zipline’s operational and impact data with compelling narratives that drive awareness and growth. You’ll work closely with sales and marketing colleagues to uncover trends, create data-driven strategies and optimize business processes. The ideal candidate for this role has built and/or excelled in data analytics roles in fast-paced organizations and can fluidly bridge the divide between technical and non-technical audiences.

What You'll Do   Lead the development of data-driven solutions (e.g., monitoring dashboards, early warning tools, facility profiling, demand forecasting) that grow Zipline’s offering and increase business stickiness Collaborate with business leaders to extract actionable insights from Zipline’s operational and customer data and construct compelling narratives that highlight our value proposition and impact for diverse audiences Harmonize, analyze and visualize data, and develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance metrics for the Africa business unit, supporting sales, customer success, marketing and program execution across multiple countries Identify critical trends and patterns to uncover growth opportunities, optimize strategies, and guide program implementation Design and implement data workflows that provide clear insights into the status of the business, highlighting successes and addressing challenges to inform decision-making Work cross-functionally to ensure data consistency and accuracy, troubleshoot fixes, and continuously improve data collection methods and analysis techniques What You'll Bring  5+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably in a sales or customer success environment Strong proficiency in data visualization using tools like Mode, Tableau, Power BI, or Matplotlib Experience in writing SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze large datasets from relational databases; ability to optimize SQL queries for performance improvements, create and maintain database schemas, and manage database security Hands-on experience working with Snowflake’s cloud data platform, including data warehousing, data lakes, and scalable cloud architecture Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex data in a clear, concise manner; ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously Inherent self-motivation, adaptability, and creativity Preferable but not required:  Knowledge and experience in GIS and spatial analysis Knowledge of optimization and predictive modeling techniques and experience applying them to real-world problems Experience in using R, Stata, or similar statistical software for data analysis, statistical modeling, and visualization Experience with Python and libraries commonly used for data analysis
