University of Virginia: Business Intelligence Analyst – Charlottesville, VA
DUTIES:
Turn broad data streams into actionable information for business partners who include Advancement leadership, prospect managers and front-line development officersPlay a critical role in analyzing the UVA prospect pipeline to provide insights that drive fundraising activityPerform strategic data review and analysis through the creation of reports and data extracts using SQL, Tableau and other BI tools and translate the analysis to inform business processesConceptualize, analyze, and contribute to the design of comprehensive, unit-wide data visualizations and reports that include assessments of portfolios, pipelines, development officer and unit progress to performance and campaign goalsReview, monitor, and contribute to prospect and proposal pipeline data through custom report audits and extracts, data analysis, and ongoing communication with partners in University AdvancementProvide reporting and analysis support in the areas of campaign progress, annual giving, and engagementServe as a technical resource and mentor to colleagues on the Prospect Management & Research team and as a representative of the Advancement Analytics department through presentations and training of external partnersContribute to ad hoc Analytics and Prospect Management workSeek opportunities for professional development that will enhance job performance including ongoing development of analysis and visualization skills, conference attendance, and building networks within the University and peer institutionsRemain current on economic conditions and philanthropic trends as they affect higher educationDevelop reporting methodologies to support organizational goals, mining data from disparate sources and sophisticated constituent database queriesArticulate complex ideas clearly, accurately and conciselyWork on multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities and meet short deadlinesIn addition, other duties as assignedREQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Information Systems, Data Science or a related business intelligence related discipline and three years of business intelligence experience. Experience must include: 3 years of experience manipulating data; 2 years of experience with creation / refinement of data visualizations and dashboard development; 3 years of experience working with key stakeholders providing business analysis to drive performance; and, Demonstrated knowledge of quantitative and qualitative analysis OR Master's degree* or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Information Systems, Data Science or a related business intelligence related discipline and one year of business intelligence experience. Experience must include: 1 year of experience manipulating data; 1 year of experience with creation / refinement of data visualizations and dashboard development; 1 year of experience working with key stakeholders providing business analysis to drive performance; and, Demonstrated knowledge of quantitative and qualitative analysis.

100% Remote; authorized to work from anywhere in the US and travel approximately 4 times per year to Charlottesville, VA if working remotely
SALARY: $87,048 - $111,336/year
