Bunzl is currently seeing a Business Intelligence Analyst to work as part of the North American Finance Team for our PACS Division (processor, agriculture, convenience store and safety segments).
The Analyst role will be responsible for automating reports and linking data to Power BI, identifying opportunities in big data to help Bunzl businesses maximize profitability, and executing Bunzl PACS Division Power BI and data analytics strategy. This will include demand planning and budget forecasting, advanced data analytics into division product and customer trends, communicating and training key stakeholders on best practices and standardization, and monthly reporting of key metrics status along with initiatives driving results. This role will also work with government, competitor, and other business intelligence sources of data to share with Bunzl companies and corporate office.
Responsibilities:
Support the transformation of our businesses from singular legacy data approach to a common, best practice approach on all aspects of data: structure, capture, governance, analysis and reportable actions Advise on a process and personnel framework to optimize operating company (OpCo) management Lead data-driven solutions training and create multi-channel approaches to engage with employees to get the most out of automated reporting solutions Serve as subject matter expert leading inventory management initiatives to improve inventory turns, fill rate optimization, working capital management, import lead times from vendors, and slow-moving inventory utilization/disposition Connect with peer positions within both Bunzl North America and globally for continued learning and development to guide PACS direction for inventory management, sales insights, and create/maintain operational excellence Continue to enhance PACS data strategy with Power Apps, SharePoint, CRM tools, AI, and emerging technologies Document business processes and controls to evaluate risks and mitigating controls in addition to proactively identifying opportunities for improvement Prepare reports of key metrics and recommendations for OpCo improvements tailored for use by all levels of management Use Hyperion Financial Management to perform financial statement analysis Perform special projects, reviews, and acquisition support as assignedRequirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Data Analytics or related field OR 10+ years in multiple business functions experience (Sales, Sourcing, Operations, Finance, etc.) 2+ years of data management experience, with expertise leading an organization through transformation Experience with SQL language protocols is a plus Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel Ability to work with minimal supervision to meet objectives in a fast-paced environment Data-driven solutions mindset with experience aligning data sets to drive future value across multiple technology platforms Success in leading significant strategic initiatives and/or change efforts highly visible to senior leaders Strong solutions-driven skill set with excellent business acumen to link operational improvements to financial benefit Accomplished in influencing multi-functional teams internally while forging external relationships with suppliers, customers, and key stakeholders in the business Demonstrated ability to foster relationships, create partnerships, and gain credibility to collaboratively drive recommendations at all levels of the organization Ability to travel approximately 20% within North America, primarily within the United States
