About the Team

We are currently seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to join the CX Analytics organization at Workday. This team is responsible for providing data insights that inform and influence our CX strategy and business decisions. We are looking for a problem solver that loves to analyze data and provide insights and recommendations for our internal customers. The ideal candidate is passionate about using data to solve exciting problems, shape business strategy, create actionable insights and measure results. You are intellectually curious, results driven, and have proven success in using analytics to drive the understanding, development, and success of Customer Service initiatives.

About the Role

About the RoleResponsibilities:

Lead interviews with key business leaders and stakeholders to deeply understand what business problems we are trying to solve, key questions to be answered, and how the tools developed will fit into the business process to be supported.

Design, build, manage, and monitor reports, dashboards and metrics to visually represent results and deliver actionable insights and data driven decisions

Analyze/curate large volumes of data using various tools like Tableau prep, SQL, Sigma etc.

Develop interactive and easy-to-understand visualizations using best practices to effectively solve business problems by enabling business insights and making recommendations.

Recommend definitions for new and updated metrics, and support metric data governance and documentation.

Partner with BI Engineer to define new or modified data models needed in the data warehouse. Build and maintain published data sources.

Thoroughly QA new and modified dashboards for accuracy and functionality.

Good communication skills and ability to convey complex problems in clear business terms

Develop training collateral and deliver training to the end-users on new and existing dashboards

Diseñar, generar, gestionar y supervisar informes, tableros de control y métricas para representar visualmente los resultados, y ofrecer insights factibles y decisiones basadas en datos.

Analizar o curar grandes volúmenes de datos utilizando diversas herramientas como Tableau prep, SQL, Sigma, etc.

Desarrollar visualizaciones interactivas y fáciles de entender mediante el uso de las mejores prácticas para resolver eficazmente los problemas de negocios permitiendo una visión empresarial y haciendo recomendaciones.

Recomendar definiciones para métricas nuevas y actualizadas, así como apoyar la gobernanza y la documentación de datos métricos.

Colaborar con el ingeniero de inteligencia de negocios para definir los modelos de datos nuevos o modificados necesarios en el almacén de datos. Compilar y actualizar el origen de datos publicados.

Comprobar exhaustivamente la precisión y funcionalidad de los tableros de control nuevos y modificados.

Buenas habilidades de comunicación y capacidad para transmitir problemas complejos en términos claros de negocios.

Desarrollar material de capacitación y capacitar a los usuarios finales sobre los tableros de control nuevos y existentes.

About You

About You

Candidates must be passionate about innovative software development, motivated to work on central impactful components, eager to learn about new technologies, and not afraid to bring bold ideas to tackle problems. Note: This role is based in our Heredia, Costa Rica office and is an office-based role. All candidates must be local or self-relocate.

Basic Qualifications

3+ years of work experience in business intelligence, analytics, or quantitative analysis related fields.

3+ years experience building visualizations in Tableau and publishing to Tableau server required.

3+ years experience with SQL, data modeling and data preparation.

Other Qualifications

Able to work independently and in a team, meticulous, critical thinker and performance driven.

Resourceful with good work ethic and committed to get work done.

Ability to learn automation tool and function as hybrid on both functional testing and automation.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills combined with strong business discernment and an ability to communicate analysis in a clear and compelling manner.

Experience in statistical languages such as R or Python for advanced data analysis

Agile experience and understanding the QA role within the model

Basic Proficiency in the Workday Reporting tool

Enterprise Applications testing experience is a bonus

Be process and detail oriented

Clear interpersonal communication skills

Experience with analytics and databases will be advantageous

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering or a related field is an asset

SFDC experience a plus

Cualificaciones básicas

3 años o más de experiencia con SQL, modelado de datos y preparación de datos.

Poder trabajar de forma independiente y en equipo, ser meticuloso, pensador crítico y estar orientado al rendimiento.

Ser ingenioso, poseer buena ética de trabajo y estar comprometido con la realización del trabajo.

Tener capacidad para aprender la herramienta de automatización y funcionar como híbrido tanto en las pruebas funcionales como en la automatización.

Poseer excelentes habilidades analíticas y de resolución de problemas, combinadas con un gran discernimiento comercial y capacidad para comunicar los análisis de forma clara y convincente.

Contar con experiencia en lenguajes estadísticos como R o Python para el análisis avanzado de datos.

Experiencia en metodología ágil y comprensión del papel del aseguramiento de la calidad dentro del modelo.

Conocimientos básicos de la herramienta Workday Reporting.

Se valorará la experiencia en pruebas de aplicaciones empresariales.

Estar orientado a los procesos y a los detalles.

Tener una clara capacidad de comunicación interpersonal.

Se valorará positivamente la experiencia con analítica y bases de datos.

Se valorará un título universitario en informática, ingeniería o en campo relacionado.
