Business Intelligence Analyst

Position Summary: 
The Business Intelligence Analyst plays a vital role in the Data Analytics team supporting the strategic initiatives of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) by enabling other analysts in implementing frameworks and guidelines and providing data-driven insights that help guide organizational decisions. This role is responsible for analyzing and interpreting data, producing visualizations, and ensuring the successful implementation of business intelligence solutions. The Analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams to meet the organization’s strategic, funding, and operational goals. 

While employees may be permitted to work remotely, travel to the assigned office, HUB or Satellite Offices may be required as determined by the employee’s manager and the employee’s People Organization Generalist.

Core Responsibilities: 

Data Analysis, Reporting, and Visualization: Analyze data from various data sources, to provide actionable insights, assisting stakeholders in making informed decisions. Support Analytics Initiatives: Assist the Director of Analytics in implementing the Tableau server solution and advanced analytics projects, including predictive modeling, statistical analysis, and optimization efforts. Collaboration: Work closely with teams across the organization, including marketing, fundraising, and operations, to understand their data needs and support business intelligence objectives, and ensure alignment with data governance processes to maintain data quality, security, and compliance.  Documentation & Training: Create documentation for reports, dashboards, and tools; provide support and facilitate training for colleagues on BI tools and data interpretation. 

Minimum Requirements: 

Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Health Informatics, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field. 3-5 years of experience in a business intelligence, data analytics, or related role. Proficiency in Tableau Cloud and Desktop Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and communicate complex data insights to a wide audience. Proficiency with SQL. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical details into clear business insights. Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in data reporting and analysis. Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications: 

Experience with Tableau server administration, building and implementing policies and procedures relating to Tableau implementation.  Data modelling design and implementation Tableau Desktop and Server certification Knowledge of data governance principles and best practices. Experience with other programming languages (Python or R) Certification in business intelligence or analytics (e.g., CAP, CBIP). Familiarity with machine learning concepts and their application in business analytics. Masters Degree 

 

Work Environment & Physical Demands: 

Work is typically performed in a office environment Must be able to lift at least 20 lbs., up to 40 lbs. Ability to sit or stand - or alternate between sitting and standing - for extended periods of time. Ability to enter text or data into a computer by means of a traditional keyboard. Ability to express and exchange ideas by means of spoken and written word to accurately impart information and instructions to others. Ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech in person, over the phone and through computer speakers. Clarity of vision at approximately 20 inches, including use of computer screens. Some weekend and evening hours may be required.

We are excited to share the base pay range for this position is $93,900 to $117,415. The offered compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, business need, market conditions, proficiencies, skills, education, and experience. Additionally, at LLS we place a high value on internal pay equity and will consider the current compensation of similarly situated roles and direct team members. Base compensation is only one component of our Total Rewards program, which also includes an annual incentive plan and a competitive benefits package.
