Business Intelligence Analyst III

Position Overview

Combine data analysis, reporting, and platform administration to drive data-driven decision making. Develop and maintain BI solutions, administer the Palantir platform, and provide actionable insights to support business objectives. The role demands close collaboration with business stakeholders to translate their needs into data solutions and drive process improvements within the BI and analytics function.

Responsibilities:

Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities that can drive business decisions. Develop and maintain comprehensive data models and key metrics to support strategic initiatives. Deliver actionable insights that empower business leaders to make informed decisions. Design, develop, and maintain BI dashboards and reports using tools such as Tableau, Palantir, Power BI, etc. Optimize BI tools for performance and user experience, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of the business. Oversee the administration and optimization of BI tools, including managing user access and permissions. Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across all BI platforms. Translate business requirements into effective data solutions, ensuring data-driven decision-making throughout the organization. Build strong partnerships with various departments to foster a culture of data-driven insights. Develop and maintain middleware and data streams using tools such as Boomi, HighByte, and other ETL solutions. Oversee the administration and optimization of these tools to ensure seamless data integration and flow. Implement and enforce data governance policies to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Manage data accuracy, consistency, and security within BI tools and across the organization’s data landscape. Maintain proficiency in BI tools, data management practices, and technologies such as Palantir. Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in data management and BI. Identify and implement data-driven solutions to complex business challenges, driving continuous improvement within the BI function. Lead initiatives to enhance process efficiency and foster innovation in data analytics and reporting. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, and reporting.

Minimum 3 years of experience administering and utilizing data platforms and tools.

Certification in BI tools or data analysis (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst, Tableau Desktop Specialist) preferred.

Proven experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and data visualization tools.

Proficiency in BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker).

Knowledge of advanced analytics techniques, including predictive modeling, machine learning, or AI, is a plus.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.

Strong understanding of data warehousing and data lake concepts.

In-depth knowledge of SQL and database management systems.

Familiarity with data lake/warehousing concepts and tools.

Physical Demands:

May work various shifts as needed; may be requested to travel to different locations. Lifting up to 25 pounds and occasionally 50 pounds. Able to walk, stand, crouch, bench, kneel, lift, carry and reach as needed in large and tight spaces. Good eye/hand coordination and ability to identify color variations, depth perceptions and close or distance visual items. Manual dexterity with occasional repetitive finger motion.

Environmental Demands:

Ability to work in manufacturing environment with extreme heat and cold conditions. Wear protective clothing or respiratory protective equipment. Works with irritant chemicals, gases, etc.
