A little about the position: Job Summary The Business Intelligence Architect will support full lifecycle business intelligence development (requirements gathering & documentation, subject matter expert management, development, roll out/ training, maintenance). This position will influence BI design through use of best practices and drive continuous improvement to the existing BI suite. They will work with IT resources to drive improvements/expansion to the warehouse data model. Some of What You Will Do: + Design and Development: Architect, design, and develop end-to-end BI solutions using Power BI, ensuring robust and scalable architecture. + Data Integration: Integrate disparate data sources including databases, APIs, and external files into cohesive BI solutions. + Data Modeling: Create and maintain data models that support efficient data retrieval and analysis. + Reporting and Visualization: Develop interactive and intuitive dashboards, reports, and visualizations in Power BI. + Collaboration: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, understand business needs, and deliver customized BI solutions. + Optimization: Optimize Power BI solutions for performance and scalability. + Documentation: Prepare and maintain documentation for BI solutions, data models, and processes. + Training: Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI functionalities and best practices. + Innovation: Stay up to date with the latest BI trends, tools, and best practices to drive continuous improvement. What You Bring to the Table: (Qualifications) + Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field. + Experience: + Minimum 5 years of experience in BI architecture and development with a strong focus on Power BI. + Familiarity with six sigma/ lean manufacturing concepts. + Technical Skills: + Proficiency in Power BI, including DAX and Power Query. + Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts and data modeling. + Experience with ETL tools and processes. + Familiarity with various data sources such as SQL, NoSQL, APIs, cloud data platforms, etc. + Ability to write complex SQL queries. + Experience with business process modeling. + Experience in data governance and data management within a manufacturing environment.
