The Opportunity

This position works out of our Abbott Park, Illinois or Columbus, Ohio location in the Nutrition Division.  

As a member of the Business Analytics Team, leverage the use of data and manage projects within Abbott Nutrition Supply Chain (ANSC) and cross functional teams, creating and maintaining analytics dashboards and reports using data visualization applications such as Microsoft Power BI (Business Intelligence) and other tools. 

What You’ll Work On 

The position is responsible for partnering with cross-functional teams to drive visibility to data to enable a nimble and agile decision-making organization, which includes: Hands-on creation and maintenance of metric visualizations and dashboards for ANSC in the Microsoft Power BI Azure environment and leveraging other tools such as Power App and Power Automate.   Develop SQL queries to research, analyze, and troubleshoot data and to create business reports. Develop and maintain data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks. Design, communicate, and implement an operational plan for completing a project; monitor progress and performance against the project plan; resolve operational problems, minimize delays. Prepare documentation such as data flow diagrams, requirements specifications, designs, support documentation, and develop schedules and timelines.  Estimate costs, resources, and time required to complete projects. Conduct project meetings and prepare reports to communicate the project's status within the team and for key stakeholders and sponsors outside the project team. 

Required Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in data science, statistics, mathematics, information science, or related fieldAt least three years of experience as a data analyst, data scientist, BI analyst, or related professionProven project experience with programming languages such as SQL, Python, and R for data manipulation and analysisProven project experience with data analysis and visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and Excel

Preferred

Expert knowledge of statistical analysis techniques and concepts for both descriptive and inferential statisticsKnowledge of data visualization best practices to effectively communicate insight.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex datasets and generate meaningful insights.Familiarity with data modeling and data warehousing conceptsAbility to work with large datasets through data cleaning, preprocessing, and transformation techniques.Excellent communication skills to convey complex data findings to both technical and business executives.Attention to detail and ability to maintain data accuracy and integrity.

The base pay for this position is $75,300.00 – $150,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
