British American TobaccoMexico has an exciting opportunity for a Business Intelligence Developer in Monterrey

The role is responsible for lead & deliver projects of Data, Analytics, Visualization as assigned by the Team Manager. In addition, this role is encouraged to be an expert in delivering BI/Visualisation solutions. Working with a diverse and highly skilled team, this role will combine technical expertise with business strategy to take the business to the next level.

The projects thus delivered will help the business to take better decisions and build value for them as well as provide objective, timely and relevant information/analysis.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Support 1 to 3 new development projects at a given time.Deliver end-to-end D&A solutions/outcomes as per specifications under expert supervision.Operational understanding of BI concepts and working knowledge/experience on MSTR (MicroStrategy).Develop analytical approaches to answer business questions and handle, support and build end user reports.Demonstrate the power of data & analytics to find opportunities to drive growth of the company and enable timely and quality decision making.Able to handle, transform & connect various data sources and extract powerful insights.Mine and analyze data from existing or new databases using different techniques and languages such as SQL & Phyton to query & lead various large datasets. Needs to be able to tweak queries for best performance.Follow agreed processes to deliver outcomes efficiently & within agreed SLAs with a continuous improvement approach.

What are we looking for?

Graduate in Engineering / Statistics / Economics / Maths / Analytics or other quantitative field.Minimum of 2 to 3 years of hands-on working experience in Dashboarding / Data Visualization / delivery out of which minimum of 1 year in MSTR development or Power BI is a must.Proficient storyteller / Hands-on experience using visualization tools such as Microstrategy, Tableau, Power BI, Reporting Services (SSRS), OBIEE, BI Publisher, Oracle Analytics Server (OAS), Qlik View and UI/UX Tools and packages (Dash, Shiny, Bokeh, etc).Ability to learn quickly and thrive in an ambitious environment – is a curious self-starter, flexible problem solver, and embrace an agile mentality.Sophisticated proficiency in English verbal and written.Experience working with a range of BI & analytics architectures. These may include: traditional warehousing, Cloud (AWS, Azure, Amazon S3, Teradata,Snowflake, etc.), visualization, etc.Experience in Agile methodologies.Hands-on experience in programming languages: SQL, Python
