What Business Intelligence (BI) Engineer contributes to Cardinal Health
The IT Client System team is searching for a Business Intelligence Engineer to join our team. This role will primarily lead in utilizing various technology and strategies used to manage and analyze data in the organization.
The primary application will be Power BI and Tableau; However, this position may support other applications.
Responsibilities
Designing and managing the BI tools and applications environmentDeveloping ETL pipelines for productionCoding, testing, and documenting data systems and processesCreate and maintain accurate documentation and reusable test casesCreate proofs of conceptTrain other data analytics team members on best practices and protocolsMeet/exceed application maintenance and support SLAsReport KPIs to leadershipUse ServiceNow to create and manage enhancements and change requestsDocument and test application resiliency plansImplements solutions that comply with all necessary regulatory compliance measures and requirements.Comply with all required policies and procedures such as compliance, policies, audit and security requirements, etc.Assist the application solution owner with defining the long-term strategies for the applicationsEnsure the applications align with the organization’s goals and follows EIT standardsWork with vendors to understand the application’s roadmapOccasionally assist with IT centric complex projects of large scopeThis position may take on other duties as assignedQualifications
Bachelor's degree or a combination of equivalent experience and qualificationsWorking knowledge of SQL (ability to write SQL queries and reports)Strong written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated technical experience in data mining and data analyticsExperience working with databases, ETL (extract, transform, load) pipelines, and data pipelinesExcellent data interpretation and management skillsPreferred
Tableau and Power BI ExperienceData Mining / Big Data (Data Lake/ Data Warehouse) experienceSkills Required:
