This position serves our partners at the Department of Corrections (DOC). The MNIT DOC team runs many unique applications that manage the information and security of the department, supporting 4,500 employees across 10 prisons and 50 field offices located throughout the state. As a Business Intelligence Lead, you will play a pivotal role in establishing the strategic foundations for analytics and reporting to address complex business problems. This position allows you to leverage your technical skills while contributing to the Minnesota Department of Corrections (DOC) vision for managing data as an asset. (https://mn.gov/mnit/about-mnit/careers/hiringprocess.jsp) **:** Position requires a minimum of five (5) years of technical experience in business intelligence or data analytics, along with effective communication, presentation, active listening and interpersonal skills to lead others in the establishment of business intelligence and analytics. Experience must include: + Experience leading and guiding other staff with Azure tech stack like Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Fabric, Power BI. + Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis and automation. + Proficiency in SQL and experience with data modeling and database design. + Familiarity with cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). + Ability to deliver effective verbal or written messages that facilitate a mutual understanding on both parties. + Customer service skills that include active listening, empathy, and problem-solving.
