Join MUFG, where being inspired is expected and making a meaningful impact is rewarded. **OVERVIEW OF THE DEPARTMENT/SECTION** The Architecture, Middleware, Data Engineering & Business Intelligence & Enterprise Services (AMD) pillar of Technology has a department focused on Data Engineering & Business Intelligence (DEBI), who are responsible for designing & developing enterprise standard technologies that support data integration, processing, warehousing, mining & reporting. The primary focus is Front-Office. However, as the team’s services are in high demand, are often approached to work with other entities, departments, executives, and senior management. within the international MUS group. The **Business Intelligence Technical Lead** is a role for someone who is hands-on to develop and improve our systems, and able to drive geographically dispersed team deliverables, performance, and ability to provide the best possible service, to meet the needs of our business partners. **MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE** + Responsibility for data integration, reporting, support, maintenance, and often business relations, with the guidance and support of business partners. + Subject matter expert supporting the gathering of requirements for major change initiatives, as well as problem solving to resolve BAU issues. + Ensuring that services meet agreed standards, SLAs and KPIs and in addition the platform adheres to the Technology & Security policy of the MUFG group + Ensuring the platform is appropriately architected to safeguard 24-6 business continuity. + Ensure appropriate levels of support are available to service users across the EMEA, Americas, and Asia & Tokyo. **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES** **Service Execution** + To provide subject matter expertise supporting the gathering of requirements for major change initiatives and delivery using an iterative approach + To provide management oversight to ensure the business teams are well supported across Americas, EMEA, Asia & Tokyo. + To provide support to the business to diagnose and resolve issues. + To facilitate the validation of new products and trading opportunities that benefit from newer technologies. + To participate in MUFG group wide activities that promote the use of the platform to meet the business needs outside of the EMEA region. + To partner with other departments, in providing services to the business + To promote a dynamic, delivery driven culture that works responsive to business demands for change within the capacity of BAU. + To support the delivery of business sponsored project programmes. Responsibilities include: + Liaising with project team members at all levels (Programme/Project Managers, Business users/teams, Senior Management, Steering Groups, Technology teams, Analysts, Developers, Testers), + Managing & understanding scope, + Validating target architectures proposal + Actively participate in working groups + Approving and supervising the transition into production + To maintain system performance and stability through housekeeping & maintenance initiatives. + To ensure confidential and sensitive data is controlled and managed in accordance with internal and external policies + Manage annual Disaster Recovery and Fire-drill scenarios for affected systems **Team Oversight** + To oversee and support to the technology team. + Provide support and assistance to other technical teams that introduce change. + Actively manage performance, develop talent, aiding and strengthening succession plans. **Governance** + To ensure the platform adheres to Risk and Control; all regulatory requirements are fully complied with, including SOX, GDPR. **Culture and Leadership** + To promote the MUFG values-led culture which is inclusive and diverse. + To build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to understand industry best practice, influence change and promote technical credibility.
