The Payroll Business Lead is responsible for leading the Business through the Global Payroll Project, Compliance with relevant laws and regulations across multiple countries is key with a focus on automation and streamlining current processes.
This role will focus on continuous improvements across the organisation, system integrations, and liaising with cross-functional teams to ensure the alignment of payroll operations with the overall business strategy.
Your role will include:
Maintain compliance with multi-country payroll regulations, tax laws, and benefits, while preparing for internal and external audits.Drive the business through the Global Payroll Project, focusing on automation, streamlining processes, and ensuring alignment with business strategy.Work closely with HR, Finance, IT, and other departments to ensure payroll processes align with business goals and employee satisfaction.Lead and manage offshore payroll teams, providing training, upskilling, and fostering a collaborative work environment.Continuously optimise payroll systems, ensuring seamless integrations with Workday and other HR/Finance tools.Provide accurate payroll reporting, analyse data to identify discrepancies, and collaborate with finance for precise financial reporting.Oversee relationships with third-party payroll vendors, ensuring SLAs are met and services align with organizational needs.Develop strategies for efficient payroll workflows, monitor industry trends, and implement best practices to keep the organisation competitive.How will your future be shaped by us?

The ideal candidate will bring extensive multi-country payroll expertise, strong leadership capabilities, and a proven history of driving system integrations and process improvements. They will excel in vendor management and cross-functional collaboration to ensure payroll operations align seamlessly with business objectives. Additionally, they will have experience in:
Leading global payroll implementations with a focus on automation, system integrations (including Workday), and process optimisation, with RAMCO payroll experience being a plus.Possessing deep technical and functional payroll knowledge specific to ANZ, with hands-on experience in applying this within similar-sized organizations.Managing offshore payroll functions and payroll managed services, while fostering strong partnerships with IT and Finance stakeholders.Serving as the payroll technical lead for implementation projects, offering expertise in reporting, data analysis, and resolving complex payroll issues.Building strong relationships through effective communication and active listening, ensuring regulatory compliance and alignment with global business strategies.Who is Aurecon?
