About The Role The Commercial Loan Processor will provide direct assistance to the Loan Officers with loan portfolio administration for proper documentation and compliance requirements. Loan administration will include, but is not limited to; providing information to callers, responding to correspondence, business reports and providing clerical support. Assist the Loan Officers with new loan applications by using existing resources to generate credit reports, insurance verifications, collateral documentation, customer/client financial statements. Employees must be engaging, solution oriented and both positive and proactive. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Become familiar with and understand the bank’s loan policy manual. Become familiar with and maintain knowledge on all bank and loan operating systems. Review commercial loan files to ensure all necessary documents are provided and properly prepared, including appraisals, organizational documents, title insurance, property insurance, etc. Provide general assistance to commercial loan officers with file maintenance, customer support, etc. Maintain virtual folders for preparation of document production and scanning to internal systems Maintain a working knowledge of credit authorization documents and applicable worksheets to assist commercial loan officer with completion. Assist with customer loan inquires, payoffs, payments, etc. Greet external customers by making eye contact, saying hello, introducing yourself and asking how you can be of assistance Anticipate and take action to fulfill customer needs while maintaining an attitude that elicits positive feedback. Must exhibit professional phone and customer relation skills. Promote bank services and recognize cross sell opportunities. Provide prompt and courteous service to all internal and external customers, supporting the goals and mission the Bank. Must comply with all company policies and procedures and all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control. Must complete the assigned online training courses and achieve a passing score by due date. Maintain a strong working knowledge of loan compliance, state and federal regulations and conduct research as needed. Become familiar with and periodically review the bank’s robbery recovery procedures. Perform other duties assigned by supervisor. Regular and predictable attendance to accomplish job duties and provide in-person contact with customers. About You QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalency Two years of bank experience with training in a loan position desired KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, ABILITY: Proficiency with use of personal computers and associated software, including Word and Excel. Typing accuracy and speed of at least 50 words per minute Excellent grammatical, punctuation, spelling, and editing skills Exhibit professional and friendly attitude; strong communications and interpersonal skills to address customer questions and concerns Must be able to handle multiple tasks moving quickly from one task to another without loss of accuracy or composur Must be detail oriented. Able to perform repetitive work with consistency and accuracy. Able to find and correct errors. Able to communicate technical information, both verbally and in writing Demonstrated ability to manage time and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Able to learn all loan functions as required Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment in handling confidential and sensitive information Job requires operation of a motor vehicle. You must, as a condition of employment, maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record acceptable to our insurer. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with moderate noise level. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation. Specific lifting abilities required by this job include: The employee is constantly required to stand and walk. Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.
