The Business Manager Thailand, Malaysia & Philippines is responsible to drive growth and development for the Industrial Solutions business.
Your responsibilities will include:
Business Development and P&L Management
Identify and develop a long-term growth strategy for the specialty’s portfolio within the countries. Collaborate with regional technical and business development teams to achieve growth ambitions. Build trust relationships with customers, identify their needs, and promote our company's solutions to achieve mutual satisfaction.
Ownership of the sales opportunity pipeline, monitoring progress vs. goal, and highlighting support needs or discrepancies.
Monitoring external competitor activity (including updates industry Supply & Demand information)
Achieve top-line growth and trading profits in line with the operational plan.
Implement an effective pricing strategy to drive both growth and profitability
Distribution
Establish a robust distribution network.
Maintain strong relationships with distributors to expand businesses into non-key accounts
New Product Launches & Innovation
Develop and manage high-quality projects within the innovation pipeline.
Shorten the lifecycle time for projects in the funnel and increase the project hit rate.
Operational Excellence
Ensure the collection of accounts receivable within acceptable days.
Collaborate closely with the supply chain team and customers to maintain a high level of demand forecast accuracy.
Control operational costs by identifying vendors that offer the best value for services
People Management
Motivate, guide, and develop team members to achieve excellence.
You will be well suited for the role if you have:
Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical/Materials Engineering, or Papermaking Engineering
10 years working experience
Experience in paper mill, as a paper chemical supplier or combination
Experience in sales/ business development/ business management/ key account management/ product management or a customer-facing role
Experience in a B2B industry.
Understanding of stock preparation/paper machine operation/wet end chemistry/wet end chemical
Experience managing a team
Strategic thinking and strong drive for results
Excellent communication in Thai, English.
Ability to speak in other local language (Malay/ Mandarin) will be an added advantage.
High mobility – ability to travel extensively within South East Asia
High learning agility
