Your role and responsibilitiesThe Business Manager – Commercials will be responsible for the overall management, strategic direction, and growth of the company's operations in Canada. Reporting to the Regional Managing Director, this position holder will drive business development, operational efficiency, and financial performance. This role collaborates with the Regional Managing Director Americas to define sales budgets, targets, goals and relevant commercial strategies to achieve them in alignment with corporate objectives.For our customers, this is a crucial role in ensuring their needs are met with the highest level of satisfaction.The work model for the role is: Onsite #LI-Onsite - Mississauga, Ontario L4Z 2G3 , Canada•\tEnsuring the integrated commercial and operational success of the organization in order to drive business growth, market share, and achievement of organizational performance and growth objectives. •\tCreating, implementing, reviewing, and relentlessly executing the business commercial strategy, industry segment strategy, go-to-market model and customer-focused operations strategy with responsibility for financial and non-financial targets.•\tEnsuring a sustainable and effective value-chain, from supplier to customer and from order to delivery (products, projects, and service). •\tDriving appropriate, productivity optimization, and capital efficiency with special focus areas such as profitability, demand analysis, cost-to-serve, channel profitability and Return on Investment.
Qualifications for the roleBachelor’s Degree with minimum 12 years’ experience OR Master's Degree with minimum 10 years’ experience.10+ years of experience in relevant industries at senior leadership roles, including leading large Regions or Countries.Deep understanding of the local market, business environment, and regulatory landscape.Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience managing cross-functional teams and exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.Proven experience in managing P&L, driving business growth, and achieving financial targets.Up to 40% travel, mostly U.S. and Canada, occasional other international; valid driver’s license and passport with no barriers to travel.Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in Canada.
