Preferred Qualifications + Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or related field. + Experience with budgets, reconciliation processes, cash management, or depositing. + Experience in a university financial and/or foundation board setting. + Knowledge of university policies and procedures. + Experience with Raisers Edge/Financial Edge, SAP , or other accounting software. + Experience working with external partners to manage investments. Job Description The Business Manager is responsible for overseeing and completing accounting reconciliation, accounts payable and receivables, and bookkeeping in support of the Development Foundation and the Alumni Association. In addition, this position is responsible for providing a broad range of administrative services in the areas of budgeting, business, and financial management. Job Duties + Develops and maintains reliable accounting and financial tracking systems, records, files, and financial reports including monthly accounting reports. + Assists with the development and management of the foundation’s multi-million-dollar endowment spending budget, operating budget, and reserve accounts. + Works with external partner on management of foundation’s investments. + Preparation and review of financial reports for accuracy. + Manages and prepares the Alumni Association financials, completes all accounting activity, and ensures accuracy. + Participates in foundation board and committee meetings, to include, assisting with preparation and facilitation of these meetings. + Provides back-up and assistance to the foundation’s Managing Director. + Other duties as assigned.
