**About the Role**
**Position**
The Business Manager for Global Wealth will be part of the COO Group, reporting into the COO for the Client Platform. The COO team plays a critical role in the execution of the Client Platform strategy, providing leverage for leaders across the platform in the running of their business lines, driving scales and efficiency across the platform and partnering with infrastructure leaders to ensure critical operations run smoothly. This role will be aligned to our Wealth business which has over $700billion in assets and includes large sub-advisory relationship, as well as distribution of our Wellington sponsored funds. Although the role is based in London, it has a global remit and will work closely with the Head of Wealth, the Head of EMEA and APAC Wealth and the soon to be hired Head of US Wealth.
Specific responsibilities include:
+ Partner with the heads of the Wealth business to articulate the global wealth strategy and work with key stakeholders to drive the execution of that strategy
+ Partner with key infrastructure stakeholders such as operations, technology, legal and compliance to ensure wealth specific needs are represented and to provide valuable guidance and input to drive a smooth operational and client experience
+ Project manage specific key initiatives that are critical to evolving the business such as the build out of content, launch of new capabilities, push into new markets etc.
+ Represent the wealth perspective in initiatives that are driven by others and/or in regional/global forums
+ Work with the Business Operations and Strategic Delivery function to own large parts of the day to day running of the business such as budget, project prioritization, capacity management, tactical escalations etc.
+ Work with Client and Product Strategy and Finance to ensure clean capture and communication of global wealth financial results including ABR/ATR, flows, pipeline, profitability and KPI
+ Work with the admin team to design and implement onsites/offsites where relevant
**Qualifications**
Specific qualifications include:
+ Meaningful experience in asset management and in particular knowledge of the wealth channel is an advantage
+ At a minimum, basic understanding of the end-to-end processes of servicing intermediaries across the different sub-channels is required
+ Ability to translate business into end-to-end processes with focus on integrating technology solutions
+ Direct experience, or at least knowledge of, the infrastructure required to support the business
+ Global mindset and willingness to work flexible hours or occasions to ensure the appropriate connectivity across APAC, EMA and US colleagues
+ Ability to independently drive projects in a highly matrixed and collaborative team environment, exercising sound judgment with regard to use of internal resources
+ Ability to partner effectively with others, seek a wider audience, build consensus, influence, develop recommendations and act decisively
+ Flexibility and grace under pressure; ability to adapt and able to provide a balanced perspective
+ Entrepreneurial mindset – enjoy building and having an impact, “rolling up sleeves” and getting things done attitude
