The Opportunity:
The Business Manager role is responsible for all financial related activities of the manufacturing facility. The position is a highly valued member of the local leadership team and partners with other leaders to provide insight and guidance on both tactical and strategic items impacting the facility. The role is responsible for supervising a local accounting team and partners with other groups to provide end to end accounting support. The business manager is also responsible for helping to maintain a strong controls and compliance environment. This is a unique opportunity to be directly involved in the day-to-day operating activities of a manufacturing facility for Caterpillar.
What You Will Do:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Monthly financial activities related to ledger closing, statement review, and variance analysis for both actuals and forecastPlant cost creation and reviewFacility planning/forecasting for financials and headcountCost and investment analysis tied to both projects and planned investmentsConsensus decision making regarding the facilityWhat You Will Have:
Education and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree within Accounting or FinanceFinancial Reporting: Knowledge of processes, methods, and tools of financial reporting; ability to create and maintain accurate and thorough financial reports.Cost-Benefit Analysis: Knowledge of the principles and tools used in cost-benefit analysis; ability to analyze the purpose and scope of a producer, product, process, or project in terms of cost and benefits.Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.Organizational Leadership: Knowledge of leadership concepts and ability to use strategies and skills to enlist others in setting, embracing and achieving objectives.Planning: Tactical, Strategic: Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan.Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.Additional Info:

Summary Pay Range:
$144,960.00 - $217,320.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
