Business Manager - APAC

Overview

The Portfolio Business Unit is focused on how to accelerate business growth with our Energy and Academic customers by helping them solve complex problems and use our technology to drive innovation and discovery. 

This leadership position will maximise our Industry Segment strategies to align plans for India, Japan, Korea and ASEAN (JKAI) to accelerate growth especially in the areas of Academia and Energy industries. 

For NI to scale, we need to develop new motions, leverage our SI partners better, and promote new ways of thinking that focus on simplicity and customer success. This leadership-level business manager role will drive the strategic direction for how NI achieves this scale in the region.

To achieve our growth ambitions, NI must establish strong business growth plans specific for each sub-region, as well as identify new ways to grow our Academic and Energy business. This is a chance to join a fast paced team that’s reinvesting in our core technology and products, building refreshed value propositions and standing up new Go-To-Market plans to accelerate growth for the Portfolio Business Unit. For this role, it will be critical to work in collaboration with other Team members to rethink how NI can equip and empower engineers and enterprises in the JKAI region. 

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Responsible for new business growth of NI Portfolio Business Unit (PBU) in JKAI region for the next 3-5 years through the Business Manager efforts below:

Market:

Define the market landscape and the potential for the targeted Industry segments in India, Japan, Korea & ASEAN Track the areas of investments and government initiatives in the region to define the Go-to-Market strategy in collaboration with the Account & Sales Team Identify key SI and solution partners required to successfully drive Academic and Energy business through our channels 

Product / Solutions:

Identify the customer workflows and requirements, map with target products and provide feedback to the organization to improve / define product roadmap  Enable strategic marketing on our products and solutions to build credibility and equity with institutions / organizations 

Organization Alignment:

Increase Alignment between BU & JKAI Sales Leadership Teams for targeted Industry segments on Key Applications, Key Accounts, Areas / Applications of Focus for short and long-term business Build credit as critical business advisor for Sales teams through providing business & technology domain expertise and increasing customer confidence across key Industry segments Develop long-term strategic relationships with key industry and Academic players and experts 

Efficiency:

Understand return on investment for the engagements (BU, Sales, Support, Services, Partners), manage scope of committed work & represent business need across NI Who You Are:
