Your opportunity + Work closely with investments Leadership across JHI’s Equity teams to develop and implement the departmental strategy. + Construct multi year business plans inclusive of clear milestones, deliverables, KPIs and targets. + Undertake financial market analysis, liaising internally and externally, to articulate macro level views and provide market insights. + Partner globally across departments to support the delivery of Equity Strategy by identifying opportunities, constructing business cases and plans , whilst managing risks and issues. + Perform industry and market reviews detailing market share, growth and competitor analysis. + Work closely with the Investment Management (IM) Leadership, IM Business Director and Global Investments COO to prioritise department projects and translate business requirements into tangible outcomes/projects. + Deliver financial reviews and benchmarking exercises. + Connect across the business to identify and structure product ideation and innovation, crystallizing these into proposals for Exec review. + Work closely with Distribution, Corporate Development, Operations, Compliance and Technology on the on-going operation and development of the investment management business. + Support the wider Business Management team in communicating the departmental mandate and value proposition. + Drive the effectiveness and efficiency of the Investment’s department Operating Model across JHI’s Equity. + Support the continuous improvement of departmental processes and facilitate change. + Carry out other duties as assigned What to expect when you join our firm + Hybrid working and reasonable accommodations + Generous Holiday policies + Paid volunteer time to step away from your desk and into the community + Support to grow through professional development courses, tuition/qualification reimbursement and more + All-inclusive approach to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion + Maternal/paternal leave benefits and family services + Complimentary subscription to Headspace – the mindfulness app + Corporate membership to ClassPass and other health and well-being benefits + Unique employee events and programs including a 14er challenge + Complimentary beverages, snacks and all employee Happy Hours Must have skills + Relative industry experience in developing Equity businesses. + Proven industry and technical knowledge across all facets of the Investment Management business, including project & IT delivery, products, regulation and investments. + Success working effectively and efficiently on multiple projects simultaneously. + Track record of developing relationships, leading and influencing across departments and key partners. + Ability to lead and manage key strategic engagement both internally and externally. + Ability to make decisions and judgements in the face of complexity, conflicting pressures and ambiguous circumstances Nice to have skills + Graduate, post-graduate or professional qualification + Working knowledge of Bloomberg or similar systems and order management systems Supervisory responsibilities + Yes Potential for growth + Mentoring + Leadership development programs + Regular training + Career development services + Continuing education courses The base salary range for this position is $180,000-200,000. This range is estimated for this role. Actual pay may be different. This role will remain open through September 30, 2024.
