POSITION PURPOSE
Business Manager, Michigan Heart.
The business manager, In partnership with physicians and leadership team facilitates the business aspects of operational and provider services. Performs analysis to maximize operational efficiencies and effectiveness to grow procedural and clinical volumes and ultimately improve the financial performance.
Works in tandem with the Executive Director of Michigan Heart, President of Michigan Heart and the Medical Director of Operations and the Cath/EP Labs to develop and support service line initiatives along with the development of the strategic plan. Oversees completion of the monthly schedule to meet procedural and clinical staffing model requirements.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Actively participates with leadership team to identify and prioritize key initiatives and special projects for the department, integrating financial modeling, analysis, and other data to support decision-making.
Serves as a liaison between physicians and leadership team to enhance operations
Works in tandem with financial analysis to develop business models for provider utilization analysis and new program development.
Supports leadership in developing operating and capital budgets including specific project review and operational improvement plans
Coordinates with clinical leadership to improve clinic efficiencies including the optimization of capacity, improvements in productivity, maximization of net patient revenue and minimization of associated expenses
Identifies processes for redesign to improve physician satisfaction, patient loyalty and staff satisfaction
Assists with implementation of best practice strategies and benchmark models from across Trinity Health and other leading acute care facilities
Facilitates and works collaboratively with supply chain leadership to improve inventory processes.
Responsible for assuring that charge processes are accurate and timely, by:
Acquire and maintain a complete understanding of department charges, charge order sets, departmental charge capture processes.
Ensure business team members are performing charge capture on a daily basis, reconciling the work queue of charge capture to ensure bills are dropped efficiently and correcting errors.
MINIUMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Degree in Business, Hospital Administration or other health care related field required.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in progressively more responsible roles.
