Reporting to the Site and clinical services Manager or Hospitality Manager, the Business office clerk will act as an ambassador and role model of the values, vision and mission of GSS. Foster and maintain effective relationships simultaneously with peers, managers, staff, clients, families, physicians and volunteers and work in supportive partnership with other GSS employees and community partners; including: contract services, educational institutions, diverse faith based groups and others.
Educational QualificationsGrade 12Unit Clerk or other Post-secondary business coursesWork ExperienceMinimum of 1 year general office experience requiredExperience in Continuing/Long Term Care preferredKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesComputer knowledge, including Windows XP, Windows Microsoft, Excel and PrintShopTyping 40 to 55 words per minuteStrong organizational skillAbility to process financial documentation according to process and policyStrong interpersonal skills with an ability to deal effectively with conflict in a diplomatic and professional mannerAdept at written and oral communication with internal and external customersExhibit an open and sincere approach by demonstrating respect and compassion for everyone equallyMaintain an individual's dignity and self worth during conversationsExcellent active listening skillsDemonstrate flexibility by changing routine to accommodate client/resident needsAccept, implement and evaluate change with a positive attitudeWho we are:

A current and clear Criminal Records Check Form and if applicable a Vulnerable Sector Check that has been obtained no more than 90 calendar days prior to the hire date.
