The Amazon Marketplace Paid Services (AMPS) program is designed to enhance the customer and Seller experience in Selling on Amazon through Merchant Consultants (MC) working directly with Sellers to increase the value, choice, and convenience of their business. Our team will invent and innovate across technology, process and people to grow the programs, improve Selling Partner engagement and satisfaction, and enable global solutions by working directly with US, EU and China teams. AMPS is looking for a dynamic and motivated Business Operation Manager to help develop and grow our Paid Services business. The Business Operation Manager is responsible for maximizing MC productivity by clearly defining priorities and improving efficiency through automation. You will be expected to develop improvement plans to achieve overall business results based on a thorough analysis of the gap between now and the future. The ideal candidate will be comfortable influencing stakeholders and senior leaders, have strong analytical skills, a track record of using data and tools to drive business growth and be comfortable working in an ambiguous environment.
Key job responsibilities
- Create and automate SP business performance reports providing accurate and reliable data.
- Develop business analysis tools for Sales teams.
- Define analytical approaches to complex or ambiguous business requirements, derive business insights from multiple data sources, and make recommendations.
- Build the mechanism to track MC time-management to increase SP-facing time by structuring MC input, define value/added, non-value type, and plan for enhancements.
- Drive key initiatives for improving MC productivity and quality through the partnership with multiple teams.
- Build the enhanced process to enable recommend the prioritized service offering per SP (e.g. deals, selection, other services), and track the SP-level business performance for Sales team to achieve SP-level goals on growth and service lever adoption.
- Define and build key input to be tracked (SP performances, MC productivity to build correlation to our output goal of satisfaction).
- Collaborate with global teams on key initiatives. Learn from global best practices, optimize and deploy them in Japan.
