What you’ll do

The Business Operation Manager supports the Head of Commercial Excellence by driving strategic initiatives, enhancing operational efficiency, and ensuring effective communication and coordination across cross-functional teams. Key responsibilities include gathering and analysing data to provide insights, monitoring performance metrics, facilitating process optimization, and supporting continuous improvement efforts. The role also involves preparing executive materials, managing administrative tasks, and conducting research on industry trends to maintain the company’s competitive edge.

Accountabilities:

Support Strategic Initiatives: Assist in gathering and analysing data to provide insights and recommendations and support the development and execution of the company’s strategic plan by coordinating relevant activities and resources.

Enhance Operational Efficiency: Collaborate with various departments to gather information on operational processes and identify potential bottlenecks. Assist in the implementation of initiatives aimed at improving departmental efficiency.

Facilitate Communication and Coordination: Serve as a liaison between the Chief of Staff and cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and coordination. Prepare and organize briefing materials, reports, and presentations for executive meetings.

Monitor Performance Metrics: Assist in tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics across departments. Gather and compile performance data to provide regular updates and support the development of improvement plans.

Drive Continuous Improvement: Support initiatives for process optimization and organizational effectiveness. Conduct research on industry trends and best practices to provide insights that help maintain the company's competitive edge.

Administrative and Operational Support: Manage administrative tasks related to the Chief of Staff’s responsibilities, including scheduling and documentation.

Essential Skills/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Management, Finance, or related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in business operations, strategic planning, or a related role.

Proven track record of working in a cross-functional team environment.

Experience in data analysis and process improvement initiatives.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in using data analysis tools/software (Excel, Tableau, Power BI).

Knowledge of process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma).

Detail-oriented with a strong ability to prioritize tasks.

Able to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Strong leadership and coordination skills.

Desirable Skills/Experience:

Certifications in project management (PMP, CAPM) or process improvement (Lean Six Sigma) are advantageous.
