Key Accountabilities:

Lead the development and administration of the DBU Operating Model, owning processes that include strategic planning, financial budgeting, quarterly priority setting and alignment of objectives, working closely with the Finance Business Partner and Programme ExecutiveManage load capacity for the DBU; integrate multiple programmes to provide a single demand signal and identify suitable resourcing solutions to meet the needs. This includes driving recruitment campaigns where necessary.Accountable for the DBU Performance Measurement Baseline and associated processes, ensuring all programmes are governed correctly and are under change control.Includes proactive risk management, maintaining an Integrated Milestone Plan for the DBU and providing P6 planning support to the Heads of Programme (note - these elements will be delivered through the Project Controls team and Lead Planner who report into this role).Own the DBU performance measures (KPI/metric dashboards) - ensure the right systems are in place to measure progress and address variance to annual targets.  Lead operational performance for the DBU and take personal accountability for associated Cost Centre/s.Ensure the business requirements are identified and addressed in the Submarines suite of functional plans and secure functional support to enable DBU objectives.Apply broad business knowledge to determine priorities and connect workstreams, projects, people and departments to drive efficiency.Empowered to solve problems, coordinate sprints to tackle issues and resolve ‘roadblocks’ within the DBU.Manage the business elements of the Product Introduction & Lifecycle Management process

What we are looking for:

Degree level education in a related field or equivalent practical experience.Strategic mindset – The ability to see the bigger picture and consider the business case and market strategy when developing products and servicesExtensive experience of business management and operations, including budget and objective setting, maintaining cost control, establishing performance metrics and creating visual managementKnowledge of project controls and project management. Completion of the APM Project Management Qualification or equivalent is desirableExperienced user of relevant business systems and software (e.g. SAP, MIS, Primavera P6).Experience working within multidisciplinary and agile teams to drive innovative solutions
