Program Overview

McKesson’s Intern program is 12 weeks long, and is designed to provide:

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated Business Operations Intern reporting to VP for Patient Services to support strategic and operational initiatives within our Patient Support Services business. This role offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced, impact-driven environment, providing exposure to program management, process optimization, analytics, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities:

Operational Strategy & Execution – Support the design, execution, and optimization of patient support programs, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and compliance.Data-Driven Insights – Analyze program performance, identify trends, and develop insights to drive decision-making and continuous improvement.Process Optimization – Identify operational bottlenecks, propose data-backed solutions, and assist in implementing best practices to enhance service delivery.Stakeholder Engagement – Collaborate with internal teams (operations, finance, business development, and IT) and external stakeholders (pharma clients, healthcare providers) to streamline workflows.Technology & Innovation – Support the integration of digital tools, automation, and AI-driven solutions to enhance patient and provider experience.Special Projects – Contribute to high-priority initiatives, including new program launches, business process reengineering, and strategic partnerships.


Qualifications:

We’re looking for ambitious, analytical, and adaptable individuals who thrive in dynamic environments and are eager to make an impact in healthcare operations.

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential task satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required for this position.

Currently pursuing an MBA or Master’s degree in Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Healthcare Management, Business, or a related field.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable recommendations.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is an asset.Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.A self-starter mindset with strong project management capabilities and attention to detail.Passion for healthcare, patient-centric solutions, and operational excellence.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$17.69 - $27.74
