We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Operations Leader to oversee and inspire cross-functional teams in Colombia. This role requires a strategic thinker with the ability to lead and align diverse teams—spanning engineering, marketing, HR, and beyond—toward shared business objectives. As a key driver of organizational success, this leader will optimize inter-departmental collaboration, manage complex initiatives, and deliver operational excellence. Additionally, they will partner closely with leadership to ensure strategic alignment and operational success across the organization.Key Responsibilities Cross-Functional Leadership: Serve as the primary local leader for cross-functional teams in Colombia, collaborating closely with U.S. management to address and resolve employee relations issues and concerns effectively.Foster and maintain a collaborative environment, ensuring teams across functions—such as engineering, marketing, and HR—are fully aligned with strategic objectives and execute with precision and urgency.
Strategic HR Leadership:  Implement HR and Payroll strategies that directly support Colombia’s business objectives, ensuring alignment with Corporate.Provide leadership to the HR team in Colombia, driving key initiatives in talent acquisition, development, and retention. Collaborate with U.S. leadership to ensure a strong talent pipeline that meets both current and future organizational needs.
Organizational Development: Drive organizational change initiatives, including restructuring efforts, to align with market demands and company vision. Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to build a workforce that reflects our commitment to these values.
Compliance and Legal: Ensure all policies and practices comply with Colombian labor laws, regulations, and ethical standards while maintaining positive employee relations across the organization.
Employee Engagement: Cultivate a high-performance culture that promotes employee satisfaction, motivation, and loyalty. Lead initiatives to enhance employee engagement, wellness, and professional growth, ensuring measurable improvements in motivation and retention.Oversee the planning and execution of in-person and virtual company events, ensuring alignment with company culture and goals.  Support to visiting Recurlians and leadership through their stay including cultural guidance about Colombia’s customs and norms.
QualificationsExperience:8+ years of experience in management, preferably in the tech/software industry, with a proven track record of successfully launching and scaling businesses in Colombia or Latin America. English is required.
Leadership:Strong leadership skills with the ability to build and manage teams. Experience in hiring, mentoring, and developing talent in diverse, fast-paced environments.
Cultural Fluency:Deep understanding of Colombian business culture, market dynamics, and consumer behavior. Fluency in both Spanish and English is required.
Strategic Mindset:Ability to think strategically while executing tactically. You should be able to navigate ambiguity, drive long-term growth, and adapt to a fast-changing market landscape.
Education:A degree in Business, Marketing, Technology, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
