Business Operations Manager/Director

The Digital Modernization Sector of Leidos is seeking an experienced Business Operations Manager/Director to join our Navy and Marine Corps IT Business Area.

The ideal candidate will drive performance of direct and matrixed teams that support the Division's strategy.  The candidate will work closely with and provide a broad array of management, business operations (including financial, administrative etc.), business development (including, strategy, capture and proposal support) and technical oversight and support to the Growth Division Manager and Senior Staff.  Prior work history in program management, strategy, and business/financial management is key. In this position the candidate will need to exhibit strong management skills, be a self-starter, exhibit the ability to lead and partner with program and functional teams to drive goals, objectives, and initiatives to closure and continuous improvement.  

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead all NMC IT Growth PMO activities, provide strategic guidance, and interface with Division Manager

Identify, develop, and implement near-term and long-term business strategies that provide the business an opportunity to grow revenue and move into new strategic markets. 

Participate in business planning activities, to include pipeline reviews, support BD priorities, bid development, collaboration sessions and win theme and discriminator sessions, and proposal writing and reviews.

Develop and foster relationships with key strategic partners.

Partner with the Division VP, Business Area Managers and their teams to support the overall growth strategy

Oversee successful delivery of CDRLs, development and implementation of SOPs, and business process improvements.

Liaise with program functional support, including contracts, subcontracts, and finance.

Partner with Business Development team to develop a timeline and ensure all proposal requests are adequately resourced.

Direct regular status and performance reviews across all areas of responsibility and provide enquiry and recommendation results to the Senior Leadership Team

Provide direction and oversight for internal Leidos reporting, including quarterly business reviews and program execution across the Division; meet regularly with program execution leadership, implement lessons learned from other business areas within the portfolio.

Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) surrounding the overall health of the business, leverage KPIs to drive performance improvements, continuous process improvements, and performance excellence.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of related experience, 15+ years of relevant experience preferred; additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Program Management experience managing complex programs or PMOs of a similar scope and complexity to the contract requirements.

Experience managing or providing oversight, (to include strategic and tactical planning aligned to business financial and performance objectives, business development, manpower utilization/staffing/forecasting, implementation of corporate and industry technical and process standards, personnel management (including external subcontractors) as well as management of overall cost, budget, and milestones.

Currently possess or are eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance. (US Citizenship required)

Pay Range:Pay Range $148,850.00 - $269,075.00
