Introduction to role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Business Operations Specialist to support our Oncology Business Unit Global Commercial team. The successful candidate will have a project management mindset with a focus on responsiveness, partnering to conduct operational tasks to ensure accuracy and completeness of requirements and will provide guidance to partners (customers), management and peers.

AccountabilitiesResponsible for partnering with Finance on facilitating monthly budgeting processes such as accruals and quarterly budgeting exercises. Hold monthly budget updates with budget owners and quarterly business reviews to include Finance and ProcurementStreamlines coordination between global teams (Legal, Procurement, Global Finance, and Compliance) and works to standardize and improve processes to deliver faster, more reliable, and predictable servicesPartner with Finance, Procurement and Compliance teams to deliver efficient and effective budget management support to the Global Commercial and Cross Functional Oncology teamsSubject matter expert and first point of contact for questions related to budgeting actions required in Anaplan, the cloud based budgeting tool utilized by the Global Commercial and Cross Functional Oncology teamsMaintaining Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX Act) compliant activity, advising the team on maintaining internal controls and documentationFirst point of contact for financial & budget related matters relating to the Franchise area they support

Essential Skills/ExperienceBachelor’s Degree (general business, managed health care, legal or finance disciplines are preferred) or equivalent experienceExperience with tools such as SharePoint, Coupa, SAP, etc.5 plus years business operations experience5 plus years working with accruals and budgetingExpert level Microsoft Office userMust be proactive and productiveDemonstrable knowledge of current policies and guidelines that affect contracts, compliance, etc. in a highly regulated environmentProven record of accomplishment of meeting or exceeding objectives & goalsStrong attention to detail, written and verbal communicationDemonstrated ability to quickly learn new systems, processes, and skills.Ability to effectively interact with collaborators in Finance, Procurement, and Commercial

Desirable Skills/ExperienceFamiliarity with Anaplan & relevant budget management experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech or related industry is preferredPrevious contract development or related experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech or related industry is preferredPrevious experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech or related industry is a plus
