The Manager of Business Optimization is responsible for transforming internal and external finance business processes by identifying and implementing new methods and practices to improve overall performance of Silgan Plastics.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee business processes to improve operational efficiencies
Manage in depth analysis of existing workflows
Identify process gaps to improve processes by leveraging data and analysis
Promote and initiate change management and project management protocols that enable workflows
Utilize a variety of analytics tools, techniques and data sources required to answer key business questions
Identify leading practices and/or opportunities for cross-departmental projects that could improve workflows and reduce costs
Provide updates and recommendations to leaders of the company
Ensure department goals and projects are met and adhere to budget
Help the organization get ready to transition to a new ERP through both process/workflow optimization and in helping lead the effort to evaluate and select the ERP to replace the legacy system
Oversee the ERP implementation process as a key financial leader to the effort, ensuring scoped appropriately and progress based on timeline and/or understanding and agreement for any variances
EDUCATION:
Required: Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, business or related field
Preferred: MBA or Masters in Accounting
EXPERIENCE:
Required: 5-7 years of experience of accounting, finance, and business functions
Preferred: Minimum of 5 years managing financial/business workflows
SKILLS:
Required:
Strong verbal/written communication
Strong Excel and Word capabilities required
Strong analytical skills for problem solving
Solid planning and time management abilities
Excellent collaboration skills and penchant for the same
