Title: Business Planner - Alkali and Chlorine Derivatives
Location: Houston, TX

Salary: $112,000 - 135,000 plus additional bonus
Schedule: Hybrid schedule available of up to 2 days remote per week

Focus: In this role, you will serve as the liaison between the marketing, supply chain, manufacturing, customer service and other functions within Olin. This position drives operational effectiveness for the Alkali products (Caustic Soda, Bleach, KOH) or Chlorine Derivatives (Cl2, HCl, GCO), productivity improvements and margin optimization. 

Business Planner Essential Job Functions:

Form close partnership with marketing, finance, plant staff, logistics, rail and terminal planners to help drive toward department and company objectives. Facilitate annual demand management and provide weekly financial performance tracking to cross-functional teams. Coordinate and develop rail shipment and terminal replenishment plans to maximize margin and sourcing optimization. Coordinate supply and demand balances to meet customer requirements and make appropriate adjustments to mitigate costs due to supply interruptions. Leverage existing tools and develop new tools to help gain efficiencies and increased visibility for business (Excel, Analysis for Office, Salesforce, Datasphere, etc.). Take ownership of data maintenance, sourcing, and suboptimal shipments. Manage product inventories to meet Business targets while ensuring customer sales are met.

Business Planner Minimum Requirements: 

Bachelor’s degree*; Engineering, Chemistry, Business or related discipline preferred. 5+ years of experience in a related role; Manufacturing, Supply Chain and/or Commercial experience preferred.  Advanced working knowledge of Excel (logical functions, pivot tables, lookup and reference functions) Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills - verbal and written. Highly motivated, action-oriented, results-driven individual. Team-based problem-solving skills; strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Prior Olin experience in a relevant position preferred.
