POSITION SUMMARY:
The Manager of Clean Products Business Planning & Analysis (BP&A) is responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial planning, reporting, and analysis to support strategic decisions and operational efficiency in support of the Clean Products South Division. This position plays a prominent role in partnership with the commercial trading function to explain financial and commercial performance. The Manager will regularly interface with Clean Products managers and staff, as well as personnel in the BP&A / Controllers organizations.
Key responsibilities include analysis of results, developing monthly forecasts and the annual business plan, providing insightful financial analysis, and helping drive business performance through effective use of financial and commercial data.
This position demands meticulous attention to detail and a firm commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in every facet of the role, from data analysis to process optimization and reporting. This position will be based in San Antonio, TX.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Financial Insights & Analysis :
Leads efforts to leverage financial, operational, and market data related to Clean Products to extract valuable business insights and drive performance outcomesProvides detailed performance insights for South Division P&Ls, highlighting areas for improved performance and identifying opportunities to add incremental valueTracks operational and market indicators to bridge current conditions to anticipated financial results explaining operational results leading to GAAP outcomesOversees the preparation of South division reporting packages, including comprehensive metrics reporting, analysis of business trends, forecast and business plan variances and doing so with a high degree of automation to enable time analyzing performance and less time preparing dataLeads effort to ensure accurate transfer pricing between the Refining organization and Clean Products South division to ensure reliable internal reportingSupports quarterly and annual external reporting, including earnings releases and earnings call support informationDevelops and implements processes and tools to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial planning and analysis. Utilizes advanced analytics and data visualization tools to communicate complex financial information clearlyAssists with ad hoc requests from the Commercial Organization, Accounting, Tax, Finance, and Investor RelationsAdvisory & Support:
Serves as a trusted advisor to organizational leaders, providing data-driven insights and analysis to support key decision-making processes across the business, and helps leaders make informed choices about operational and strategic initiativesIdentifies and assesses risks and opportunities that could impact operational and financial performanceCollaboration & Communication:
Acts as a liaison between the operational organization and Finance/IT to ensure financial and accounting activities align with organizational needsCommunicates effectively with all stakeholders, ensuring clarity and alignment on financial goals and performancePresents complex financial information in a clear and concise mannerTeam Leadership and Development:

Bachelor's degree is required. Majors in Business, Finance, or Accounting preferredMBA, CFA, or CPA preferredMinimum 8 (eight) years of experience in Accounting or Finance requiredStrong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word requiredProficiency in Power BI is preferredAbility to develop a clear, actionable strategy and execution plan in support of an overall business vision/objectiveAbility to communicate effectively and influence at the highest levelsSKILLS
