Business Planning Analyst level 3

Northrop Grumman’s Defense Systems sector is currently seeking a Business Planning Analyst level 3 to support on-site our growing business in our Rocket Center, West Virginia location.

This position will we be located on-site at our Rocket Center, WV location. No remote opportunities are available for this position. Also, there is no relocation assistance available for this position. Any candidate requiring relocation will have to do so at their own expense.

Rocket Center, WV is located along the North Branch Potomac River in Mineral County, West Virginia and is home to the Allegany Ballistics Laboratory (ABL), a government installation operated by Northrop Grumman. Overview:

Plans program efforts of an organization’s activities. Develops information on budget status, workforce level, equipment availability, and other company capabilities. Determines customer requirements and translates these requirements into organizational plans.

Assist Program Manager is directing all phases of programs from inception through completion.Assist Program Manager with cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs.Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets, and financial terms/conditions of contract.Leads a cross-functional team of associates with a wide range of skill sets, ensuring roles and responsibilities of all team members are well understood and executed.Ensures program-wide focus on safety, quality, cost, and schedule.Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules.Identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications.Manages subcontractor actions and performance.Controls expenditures within limitation of project budget.Develops and manages performance metrics on assigned programs to drive continuous improvement.Develops and delivers presentations to management, and other program stakeholders.Performs Risk and Opportunity Management.

Basic Qualifications:

9 years of experience required.  Will consider those with 5 years of work experience with a Bachelors degree; or 3 years of experience with a masters degree.Experience with DOD contracts/products required.Ability to lead cross functional engineering teams to achieve a common project goal.Basic competency in project management skills.Ability to engage with customers and define project scope requirements.Ability to obtain a secret security clearance. (US Citizen a requirement).Competent in standard Microsoft Office software suite.Good communications and customer engagement skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

A degree in a science, engineering, or a business program.Experience with DOD contracts.Active Security Clearance.

Salary Range: $86,600.00 - $130,000.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
