Business Planning Manager (Hybrid, Based in Dallas)

Description

Managers on the growth ops team focus on supporting growth initiatives across Tenet and USPI markets including service-line growth, business development, mergers & acquisitions, and new-facility development (e.g., expansion of hospitals, ASCs, imaging centers, and free-standing emergency departments). Our team serves as direct advisors to the CSOs, CEOs, and market presidents and provide data-driven guidance along with building out tools and assets to empower market-level decision-making.

Beyond market support, managers independently partner with senior business leaders to solve some of the most exciting challenges facing Tenet today. This has resulted in a wide range of projects including due diligence work on major ASC acquisition targets and leading the integration strategy of the same assets, performing a data-driven assessment of our benefits structure to identify key savings opportunities, and leading the development of bespoke partnerships and JVs with other providers to further expand service line capabilities in our facilities

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Serve as advisor to market CSO and CEOs across major strategic decisionsManage annual and multi-year business planning activities for select markets or business unit Independently lead market assessment and pro-forma development for major capital projectsDevelop and maintain market analytics solution(s) deployed across the enterprise, inclusive of managing external vendor relationshipsPartner with market operators as well as develop communications for senior executives and Board discussionsWork with senior business leaders to develop data-driven recommendations to complex problems and effectively communicate insights to C-suite of Tenet and USPIProvide strategic direction and monitor multiple, ongoing initiatives, where some initiatives are unstructured.Coach, teach, and counsel others

Qualifications

Required:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited universityAdvanced experience with Excel including developing complex scenario-based decision support models/proformasSignificant experience with decision support tools (e.g., SQL, Power BI)Proven ability to structure ambiguous problems and drive to actionable solutionsStrong verbal and written communications, including presentation skills5+ years of related work experience in management consulting, financial services, or decision support in healthcareStrong sense of accountability, including a passion for owning, organizing, and driving multiple projects in parallel and seeing them to full completionA mastery of a variety of communication modalities is required to include leading meetings, making formal presentations, and writing complex documents and managing complex relationships over time

Preferred:

MBA or MHSADeep understanding of healthcare services Ability to organize effectively, solve problems quickly and clearly articulate a position with sound logic and supporting empirical evidenceProven entrepreneurial spirit, with track record showing a willingness to help drive positive change in your organization Leadership skills including demonstrated willingness to pursue leadership roles with increasing levels of accountability comfort with decision-making responsibilities, and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others and to forge alliances and garner support
