Business Portfolio Manager - Focus on Energy
**Job Overview:** APTIM's Energy Transition team is seeking an experienced **Business** **Portfolio Manager** to support Wisconsin's Focus on Energy Program. This position is based in Wisconsin and oversees the performance and strategic direction of the business portfolio of programs to ensure current programs meet goals and objectives. Energy efficiency program implementation and project management knowledge is required. This role will report to the Senior Energy Portfolio Manager. APTIM's work in Wisconsin has centred on administration of Focus on Energy, one of the longest standing energy efficiency and clean energy programs in the country. This award-winning program serves 107 utility territories across the Wisconsin market and supports more than 50,000 energy efficiency projects annually. Coordination with the teams administering and implementing Focus on Energy programs will be essential to create a seamless customer experience. APTIM's Energy Transition team is a recognized leader in the marketplace. Our technical experts deliver highly innovative projects and complex client solutions providing the full breadth of energy solutions including energy management, carbon management, smart energy infrastructure, distributed energy resources (DER), and carbon-free mobility solutions. Our consultants proactively collaborate with clients to define and implement strategies and campaigns around key business drivers, with the primary focus of finding and delivering high-impact projects exceeding expectations and meeting the unique needs for our commercial and retail clients. The successful candidate will immediately assume an active role overseeing daily operations of the portfolio's energy efficiency and renewable energy programs supporting agricultural, commercial, government, industrial, and school facilities. As the **Business Portfolio Manager** , you must be a critical thinker able to manage multiple tasks, be well-versed in program delivery and design strategies and contracting, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be able to maintain positive relationships with colleagues and implementation contractors. The role requires a person who is accountable, process driven, detail-oriented, and pragmatic. Individuals in this role will be expected to communicate across functional teams to exchange ideas, embrace a collaborative approach, take ownership of their workspace, and find solutions to challenges as they arise. **Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:** + Providing oversight and support to program implementation teams to guide current and future program offerings and goal achievement. + Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and facilitating implementation of associated design and delivery changes. + Developing and implementing a strategy for the utilization of budgets and achievement of associated energy-saving targets. + Leading the development, negotiation, and management of implementation contracts. + Preparing and presenting technical and non-technical summaries and briefs for a wide variety of industry audiences. + Extrapolating data from multiple sources and analyzing complex data sets. + Managing and coordinating collaborative efforts among implementation team and other stakeholder groups. + Gathering information from internal and external stakeholders to inform program design and strategic direction. + Utilizing previous program experience and knowledge to support issues related to program operations and/or management. + Communicating with internal and external stakeholders on behalf of Focus on Energy. + All other duties as assigned. + Ensure compliance with all APTIM quality and safety policies as well as all OSHA regulations. **Basic Qualifications:** + Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university or equivalent work history. + 4-6+ years' management experience related to energy-efficiency program delivery or oversight. + Experience in the design, development, and implementation of energy efficiency and renewable energy programs. + Experience drafting, negotiating, and managing program implementation contracts. + Understanding of energy efficiency technologies and energy-saving solutions. + Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions. + Knowledge assessing performance of organizations and individuals to make appropriate improvements or take corrective action. + Skills in negotiation, conflict resolution and consensus building with diverse stakeholders. + Strong communication and collaboration skills; experience with client engagement and coordination. + Commitment to fostering a collaborative work environment within the team and the broader organization. + Self-motivated with the ability to manage time and prioritize projects within established deadlines, work independently, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. + Proficient in Microsoft Office software. + Ability to travel statewide and occasionally out-of-state. **Desired/Preferred Qualifications:** + CEM, PMP, or similar certification or the desire to obtain. + Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics. **ABOUT APTIM** APTIM is committed to accelerating the transition toward a clean and efficient energy economy, building a sustainable future for our communities and natural world, and creating a more inclusive and equitable environment that celebrates the diversity of our communities.
