CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking a Domestic Fire Protection Business Practice Leader to join our CHA Fire Team at our office in Birmingham, AL.

YOUR IMPACT

CHA Fire Protection Services offers highly specialized fire protection engineering services and cutting-edge solutions to the most challenging fire protection projects. Our knowledgeable staff manages complex industrial, commercial and design/build fire protection projects, including sprinkler systems, fire pumps, ground storage tanks, underground piping, and special hazards.

 

The Business Practice Leader will be responsible for providing overall P&L management of an approximately $50 million budget. This role will also be responsible for the strategic direction, inspiration for their workforce and elation of clients through excellence in project delivery for their assigned Business Practice, ensuring the profitable growth of their business. This includes developing a Business Practice specific growth strategy, working with Business Line Director and all Market Leaders to execute the strategy and grow their Business Practice, as well as overall responsibility for staffing, project management, technical excellence, quality assurance and operational activities within the Business Practice.

 

The Business Practice Leader will also be responsible for collaboration with the other business practices both within the Sector as well as throughout CHA to ensure the efficient execution of projects, staff utilization and talent management. This individual will be measured by performance relative to financial metrics such as, but not limited to, bookings, backlog, net service revenue, EBITDA, project multiplier, account receivables, WIP, utilization, and voluntary turnover.

REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s degree required Minimum of 10 years of progressive fire protection experience requiredNICET Certification required Strategic thinker to properly position the group for strong growth and financial performanceStrong understanding and knowledge of the Fire Protection industry as well as the adaptability for future services to be offered Demonstrated ability to manage projects greater than $20M and a strong understanding of the P&LAn articulate and persuasive communicator, both one-on-one and in front of large groupsA high energy, results-oriented, resourceful leader who can establish themselves as a credible strategic member of management within the companyTechnically astute and strategic in thinking to properly position the Business Practice for strong technical and financial performance and client satisfactionStrong written and verbal communication skills and understanding of their respective Business PracticeStrong ability to resolve matters timely and lead initiatives/projects to completion with a sense of urgencyAbility to inspire, motivate, build, and manage relationships across the company, and influence decisions from the top down and bottom upTrustworthy with the ability to handle confidential matters and sensitive information or situations with discretion Ability to travel 10-20%  SALARY RANGE:

$150,000 - $180,000

 

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
