Business Process Analyst

David Weekley Homes is seeking a Business Process Analyst. Are you that person who asks a lot of questions and always wants to understand how and why?  This might be the perfect job for you!

This person will work closely with Team Members across the company at all levels to:

Research, document, and analyze business processes across the companyUse data-driven approach to identify trends and recommend improvements to business processesWork with Team Members across the company to define or modify business processes to address business needsEnsure business systems support the needs of the business and the Team

The Position-- You will be required to:

Communicate with Team Members in all roles across the company to learn business requirements and identify opportunities for improvementDocument business processes – process mapping, business rules, training materials, and other documentation as needed; maintain as requiredLead Teams through process meetings, document as-is and would-be processesUnderstand city-specific requirements that require modifications to a company-wide processDetermining the appropriate data needed for research and extracting that data from business systemsData analysis – identify patterns and trends, specific areas of concern, leading indicators of upcoming events, and predictive measuresGathering consensus on recommendations – follow up on feedback as neededPrepare and present findings and recommendations from research to ManagementWork with Application Development Team to ensure that business systems support business processesWork with Trainers across the company to ensure that business processes are being properly communicated to all Team MembersProject Management – action plan, communication plan, meeting planning, followup, and other responsibilities as neededBring together groups of Team Members with common roles to share information, best practices, and work through common obstacles as neededCollaborate with Team Members across the company to determine opportunities for standardizationFacilitate discussions virtually with Team Members from across the company.Travel!  This job can involve 30-50% travel depending on current projects.
Qualifications

The Candidate-- We are looking for:

Is comfortable asking questions to uncover what’s working, what’s not working, and what would make our business operate more efficientlyWilling to explore and learn parts of the business you may not already knowIs a great listener – both to direct and indirect feedback from the TeamIs an excellent communicator – verbal and written skills, in person and virtuallyIs able to remove emotion from the situation to hone in on the critical issuesIs highly organized and able to juggle multiple, sometimes competing prioritiesHas a secret inner nerd who loves to look at data and make business recommendationsLooks for creative solutions to complex challengesIs a natural leader – able to lead groups of all sizes and levels of authority through candid discussions to define and modify business processesWilling to learn through experiences and involvement in business processes

The Technical-- You need to have or know:

Previous experience in business process analysis or process improvement (Lean Six Sigma or similar) is preferredProject management skills – ability to define the steps required to take a project from start to finish and to see these tasks through to completion; ability to manage multiple projects at one timeWillingness to adopt new technology and build technical skills to support development of business solutions
Additional Information

Work Location-- This position is not 100% remote – you will be expected to work in the office a minimum of 3 days per week. Our office is located in West Houston, near the intersection I-10 Katy Freeway and 610 W Loop N Fwy.
