The Business Process Analyst provides technical support for the Gas and Liquid Measurement data teams.  This position requires the analyst to work with various groups to design, document, test, and implement enhancements and updates to the Measurement Department transactional systems, tools, and reports.  The Business Process Analyst works with various groups to build effective business solutions that meet business needs and support the department’s efforts to provide accurate, complete, and timely measurement information.

Job Responsibilities:

Function as a liaison between the measurement system users and IT teams.Work with team to identify Business Solutions projects and develop project plans.Work with team to manage and ensure projects are kept on schedule and completed on time.Work with the measurement team and other business groups to plan and document system upgrades and enhancements.Gather, document, and analyze business requirements.Develop test scripts, facilitate, and manage the testing process for measurement system upgrades and enhancements.Perform testing of system/tools upgrades and enhancements.Identify and document system functionality specifications.Investigate various issues/problems and work with others to create effective business solutions.Develop, support, and maintain various data tools used by the measurement department.Work with other users to develop, document and support custom reports and data queries.Respond to special data requests from the measurement team and other business groups.Perform updates and maintenance for the measurement department website.Work with IT team to facilitate and support system security for measurement related systemsCreate and maintain measurement department procedures.Identify, document, and communicate system bugs/issues.Provide system functionality training and support to the measurement team and other business groups.Work with other IT groups to identify and consider new IT advancements that support measurement system automation and improvements.Evaluate business processes, identify gaps and areas needing improvement, and work with team to develop and implement effective business solutions.Conduct meetings and presentations with team and measurement stakeholders plan for growth, share ideas, etc.

 

The Business Process Analyst position may be based out of Kinder Morgan’s office in Birmingham, Alabama, Colorado Springs, Colorado or Houston, Texas office depending on the candidate’s location.  The position is posted in Birmingham, AL, Colorado Springs, CO and Houston, TX but there is only one opening; so please only apply to one location.

Education:
