We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Job Summary

The Electric Transmission System Operations Center (SOC) Operations Services team is seeking a motivated candidate to join our team to help us improve and manage Certification and Education processes. The individual will be responsible for learning our current processes, analyzing, and recommending/implementing changes to improve processes and/or standards/specifications to create more efficient and logical operations for the System Operations Backup and Education Center (SOBEC).

 

Assist on multiple concurrent projects to identify and document the major business processes associated with the business unit, conduct benchmarking and best practice analysis of the business unit's processes against both industry and non-industry processes, identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the business processes within the entire business unit without jeopardizing reliability, availability, or safety, develop business cases to support recommendations, and, monitor the progress associated with the implementation of recommended changes. Apply process modeling tools, process improvement methodology, benchmarking, project management, and change management to projects. Responsible for analyzing, optimizing, and standardizing processes, including initial certification and continuing education. Enhance efficiency by implementing process improvements, tracking mechanisms, dashboards, and automation tools to monitor team performance. Collaborate with operations, instructional designers, consultants, and engineers to develop a scalable, data-driven framework that aligns with business needs. Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs), maintain a 12+ month roadmap, and ensure continuous process enhancements to improve group effectiveness and compliance. Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

 

Mid-level: 2-3+ years of relevant experience in business process analysis, learning and development, project management, or a related field. Senior: 5-6+ years of relevant experience in business process analysis, learning and development, project management, or a related field.

 

Preferred:

Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to facilitate and/or work on multiple project teams simultaneously. Ability to exercise independent judgment and decision-making, along with knowledge of when to get others involved. Proficient in application of business process improvement methodology, benchmarking, and change management. Excellent documentation skills. Strong customer service orientation. Strong ability to plan, organize, and facilitate work sessions in a team environment. Experience with process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Agile). A strong understanding of learning management systems (LMS), certification programs, and compliance standards. Proficient in Quality Training Systems software product Quality Training Database (QTD). Strong data analytics tools such as Power BI and/or Tableau. Strong project management skills (PMP certification preferred). Capability to develop and maintain interactive dashboards to monitor performance. Expertise in program scheduling, certification tracking, and continuing education frameworks. Experienced with streamlining processes through automation and workflow optimization. Analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven decision-making and process improvement. Education Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education. Master's degree preferred.

 

Preferred Discipline: Business Administration, Training & Development, or a related field.
