Cognizant’s Intuitive Operations & Automation (IO&A) practice is one of Cognizant’s highest growth practices. To accelerate this growth even further, IO&As is rapidly growing into all industries and markets globally. One of IO&A strategic growth markets is UKI, and we are looking for a highly accomplished, results-driven and versatile individual to join our Consulting (sub) Practice.

Your role

The role will be instrumental in building a capability focused on digital business processes, advising on business strategies, operational improvements, and technological innovations. This role requires expertise in digital transformation in Energy and Utilities focussed on Operations, Customer strategies and business process automation requiring a good understanding of the Energy and Utilities industry. They will need to identify opportunities to leverage automation technologies to streamline operations, reduce costs, and improve delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and drive a Digital business process capability and Centre of Excellence (CoE) leveraging digital solutions to create truly personalised and seamless customer experience solutions. Collaborate with consulting and automation advisory team to develop and implement automation strategies that align with their business goals and operational needs. Collaborate with industry leaders as well as senior client and internal stakeholders to develop practice capabilities and contributing to growth of the practice. Ability to develop and undertake Digital process experience improvements with hands on experience of Energy & utilities industry. Provide expert guidance on the adoption of AI, machine learning, and other emerging technologies to enhance experience and operational efficiency in digital business and operational processes. Ability to lead and undertake analysis of current business processes and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and automation. Drive and generate new business across existing Cognizant accounts and new logos in the Digital business space. Develop a team along with mentoring junior team members and drive their career development. Develop business cases for investment in automation technologies, including ROI analysis and implementation roadmaps. Have a good understanding of training and change management requirements to ensure smooth adoption of new technologies and processes. Be willing to travel up to 50% of time to client locations.

Skills and Experience:

Academic with a master’s degree, preferably in business administration, data analytics or information technology/science In depth experience in consultancy focusing on Digital Transformation and Digital Process optimisation roles Proven track record of implementing successful digital transformation and automation programmes within the Energy and Utilities industries. Strong understanding of the Energy & Utilities industry’s regulatory and compliance considerations with ability to address operational challenges. In-depth understanding of and experience of Operations and Customer Experience strategies in Energy & Utilities Industry especially around Smart metering, renewables and Net Zero. Experience in enterprise-wide deployments of process excellence and delivery methodologies (Lean Six Sigma, Agile, DevOps, SAFe, etc.) Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels. Able to produce high quality business-facing deliverables and activities to drive the automation agenda. Resilient and able to manage challenge and resistance. Results/outcomes oriented, business value focused. Confident and able to work in high-ambiguity work environment. Excellent oral and written presentation skills
