Business Process Consultant - Energy / Utilities / Logistics

Your role

The Business Process Consultant will be responsible for the identification, justification, and delivery of complex business process transformation, creating strong transformation roadmaps, enable the transition from strategy to execution with focus on increasing effectiveness and efficiency of our client’s business and/or unleash new business value creation.

The role requires strong experience in understanding a client’s portfolio, current challenges, building stakeholder rapport quicky and driving initiatives to closure. Experience in the utilities industry or in business-to-business processes would be preferred. It is required for the candidate to have experience in proactively identifying improvement initiatives based on industry and regulatory changes to support the client in setting their vision and to-be frameworks.

Core expertise in the fields of process change and new value stream designs, redesigning large and/or complex operating models or applying digital technology and automation using the most modern technologies (RPA, IPA, ML, AI, GenAI, chatbot) provided by the leading platform providers. It requires the ability to perform strong business case creation and discussions with key decision makers, define or review their operational excellence strategy and roadmap, and finally the delivery of change generating significant impact on the clients’ results (operationally, financially, …).

The candidate must have strong business process consulting background, experience in enterprise-wide deployments of process excellence and delivery methodologies (Lean Six Sigma, Agile, DevOps, SAFe, etc.). The candidate must also have experience with digital transformation, automation, and intelligent automation platforms. The candidate will transform business problems of our key clients into viable and feasible solutions and will be responsible to align on the solutions and their implementation with wide range of stakeholders.

It is important for the candidate to have experience in supporting the client with external vendor assessments and providing objective recommendations based on suitability. The candidate should also be experienced in working with external vendors to co-deliver transformative programmes for the client. A general understanding of core business platforms, data governance, high level architecture and system integration is important for the role.

It is expected that the candidate will be responsible for supporting or fully driving some of the key client engagements end to end including managing the key client stakeholders and various Cognizant teams, or even 3rd party stakeholders. The candidate will also be supporting our practice growth by cooperating in pre-sales and sales activities. The responsibility covers also support in growing maturity of our practice and contribution to the overall go-to-market strategy of Operations transformation across Europe.

Responsibilities

Take end to end ownership of programmes and initiatives, drive client engagement and closure High level project management responsibilities, i.e. roadmap & plan for delivery, identifying and mitigating risks and issues Recognize and determine the business challenge with our clients considering all relevant angles (process, people, organization, technology etc.). Measure the business challenge based on neutral data on its past trend and further development. Map out stakeholders need for information provision and translate into solutions. Design business process solution based on the newest and latest technologies. Build and maintain strong client relationships. The key stakeholders will be from business areas (and can include COOs, CFOs, CHRO, etc. and their Tier 1 leadership). Help Clients to gain insight into the potential of technology though Inspirational workshops, Proof of Concepts etc. Set an agreement on the solution as well as on how the solution is going to be delivered. Support or drive the growth of the practice, both commercially as well as from the practice maturity point of view. Continuous knowledge development of industry, regulatory and technological trends Collaborate withing the different teams within IOA practice as well as with other practices and teams (e.g. teams delivering market leading ERP, CRM, BPM etc. solutions as well as adata analytics, testing, etc.) Take a leadership in business development activities, such as pre-sales, client presentations, research and proposals including both, pro-active as well as responses to client requests. What You Will Bring To The Team

Academic with a master’s degree, preferably in business administration, data analytics or information technology/science. Experience in Process/Operations Automation both from the perspectives of business and technology. Large experience in Operational Excellence as a subject and experience from deployments of various process improvement methodologies. Good exposure to various digital solutions including (intelligent) automation platforms and solutions. In depth experience working for within Business Consulting services environments Proven track record of shaping, leading and delivering engagements in international corporations and environment (matrix organizations). Proven experience in building client relationships on all levels from board room to work floor Cross industry experience. Process transformation experience in a dominant function (Finance, Operations, Customer Management etc.) Must have industry knowledge around one of the following – Energy / Utilities / Logistics. Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (or Master Black Belt) certification will be an advantage with a minimum track record experience of 3 years. Business acumen, communication, and drive for result. Ability to travel and work at client offices.
