Business Process Data Steward
**Overview** The **Business Process Data Steward** is a pivotal role responsible for developing, documenting, and implementing execution playbooks, as well as managing and ensuring the quality, integrity, and usability of data across BroadPath. By collaborating with various departments and stakeholders, this position aligns operational procedures and data governance practices with organizational goals and compliance standards. Reporting directly to the Head of Reporting and Business Analytics, the **Business Process Data Steward** gathers feedback to effectively implement data management practices and process improvements that support operational success and compliance. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, possesses excellent communication skills, and is adept at documenting processes, creating playbooks, and facilitating process enhancements. This role ensures alignment of goals and strategies within the organization through close collaboration with cross-functional teams. **Responsibilities** 1. **Process Documentation and Playbook Development:** 2. Develop detailed execution playbooks and support implementations for various departments. 3. Document processes, procedures, and workflows clearly and concisely. 4. Create visual process maps, flowcharts, and other documentation tools. 5. Analyze current business processes to identify areas for improvement. 6. Recommend and implement process enhancements to increase efficiency and effectiveness. 7. Ensure processes align with organizational goals and compliance requirements. 8. **Data Governance and Quality Management:** + Develop and implement data governance policies, standards, and procedures. + Establish and enforce data management best practices across the organization. + Oversee data quality initiatives to ensure data is accurate, consistent, and reliable. + Manage data access rights and permissions in compliance with security policies. + Ensure data security measures are adhered to, protecting sensitive information. 1. **Documentation and Compliance:** + Produce comprehensive documentation detailing data handling processes, data definitions, and metadata. + Create and maintain data dictionaries, process maps, and playbooks. + Regularly review and update process and data documentation to reflect changes in operations or regulations. + Ensure compliance with data governance standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA). 4 **. Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration:** + Collaborate with department heads and stakeholders to understand existing processes and data needs. + Gather feedback and incorporate stakeholder input into process documentation and data policies. + Facilitate workshops and meetings to discuss process improvements, documentation needs, and data governance initiatives. + Communicate data governance policies and procedures effectively to all relevant parties. 1. **Implementation and Training:** 1. Assist in implementing new processes and ensure smooth transitions. 2. Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for staff on new processes, playbooks, and data governance policies. 3. Monitor adoption and adherence to documented processes and data standards. 6 **. Continuous Improvement:** 1. Identify opportunities to enhance business processes and data management workflows. 2. Implement improvements to increase efficiency and support data-driven decision-making. 3. Stay updated with industry best practices in process documentation and data governance. 4. Promote a culture of data stewardship and accountability within the organization. **Qualifications** + Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Information Management, Operations Management, or a related field. + Minimum of 3+ years of experience in process documentation, business analysis, data management, or related roles. + Proficiency in process mapping tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart). + Strong skills in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). + Familiarity with data management tools and technologies. + Experience with data quality assessment and remediation techniques. + Knowledge of data modeling concepts and metadata management. + Excellent analytical skills to assess processes and data issues. + Ability to think critically and provide innovative solutions. + Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. + Ability to translate complex processes and data concepts into understandable documentation. + Strong facilitation skills for leading meetings and workshops. + Excellent organizational and time management abilities. + Capability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively. + Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. + Ability to influence and gain buy-in from stakeholders at all levels. + High level of adaptability to changing environments and requirements. + Commitment to continuous learning and professional development. + Strong attention to detail in documenting processes and data policies accurately. + Familiarity with data privacy laws and regulations. + Experience in developing training materials and conducting training sessions. + Comfortable facilitating discussions and training sessions with diverse audiences. + Demonstrated experience in improving data reliability and usability across an organization. + Ability to monitor and ensure adherence to new processes and data standards. + Comfortable with adapting to new technologies and tools that facilitate process documentation and data governance. **Systems experience required:** + Jira and Confluence, MS Office Suite, Visio **Certifications/License(s) preferred:** + Certifications such as Lean Six Sigma, Business Process Management (BPM), Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP), or similar are advantageous (preferred) **Diversity Statement** At BroadPath, diversity is our strength.
